We booked Star Field Farmhouse while we were in Cooperstown for a week at Dreams Park. We were originally traveling with six people and our two small dogs, so we wanted more space than the cabins where the rest of our team families were staying. Although our plans changed unexpectedly, we were so glad we chose the farmhouse. It was the perfect place to recharge after long days at the ballfield. The farmhouse was comfortable, full of charm, and had plenty of room for our family. The front porch quickly became our favorite spot. Like any older home, it has a few quirks, but Scott was incredibly responsive, and a quick text resolved the few minor issues we encountered. What truly made this stay special was Scott. We've stayed in many vacation rentals, and I've honestly never had a host like him. He welcomed us like old friends and became our personal Cooperstown guide, sharing restaurants, hiking trails, local history, and hidden gems. His dog, Shoog, was a favorite with our teenagers, and our afternoon pontoon ride on Otsego Lake was one of the highlights of the week.My only suggestion would be to clear out a little more cabinet space during rental season. Since Scott lives there in the winter, some personal items remain, so having a bit more room for guests' groceries would be helpful.Scott didn't just provide us with a place to stay—he helped make our Cooperstown experience unforgettable. We'd gladly stay here again.
