Looking for the ultimate Canadian Cottage destination? Picard Lake, a deep water lake in the Kawartha Highlands with stunning vistas granite rock, pine trees and glorious sunsets has it all. Tranquil, picturesque; the perfect place to swim, paddle, relax and unwind. Play during the day. Drift off to sleep to the sound of loons and a night owl calling.

THE SPACE

Enjoy our four season home with a cathedral ceiling great room featuring a field stone fireplace, a four season screened “Kawartha Room”, a hot tub and multiple decks and large dock. The four season detached sleeping bunkie is the prized bedroom for kids and adults alike. Enjoy our collection of original art luxurious duvets, linens and pillows and a fully equipped kitchen.

A series of natural cedar decks give our guests lots of options for relaxing, reading, outdoor dining and hot tubbing. The upper deck includes a gas BBQ and dining area. A hammock and four person rocker swing on the waterfront offer other spots to get away.

At the water enjoy the lake with our swimming raft, canoe, lily pad and paddle board; the favourite spot for water fun.

Guest access
We are on the tip of a peninsula. The entire property, 3+ acres of pine forest with wrap around waterfront is yours to enjoy. Our cottage is at the end of a private road. The only cars you will see will be your own.

Other things to note
The lake is very deep and clear. The water is 20feet deep right of the dock with spectacular swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding. Great fishing too!

We are located close to Buckhorn, where you pick up groceries or enjoy a lockside meal. In nearby Bobcaygeon you can find world-class shopping and dining, a sandy public beach, a country market and a heritage village. One hour north of us is Haliburton, with the famous Wolf visitation Centre, Sir Sam's ski resort and more shops and restaurants.

And even with all that to do, what we love most about our cottage is hanging on the dock, reading in the hammock, making family meals in the big kitchen, dining on the deck or the Kawartha Room, playing scrabble, reading books and being far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

And one last thing, stargazing. We are blessed to be far away from any city lights and the night sky at Picard Lake is unforgettable.

Our property is high in the treetops. A series of stairs and landings take you down to the waterfront.
