This 50-year-old house, built by my grandfather (a ship carpenter), has been modernly renovated.

The Living Room:
Our pride is the spacious 26-square-meter (16-tatami) living area.

Look up to see the "Funazoko" (ship-bottom) ceiling and exquisite "Kaba-zaiku" (cherry bark) woodwork.

Artistic Touches:
The walls and hallways feature art made from my grandmother's kimono sashes (obi), which change with the seasons.
