Large 6-bedroom family home (5 double beds and 3 single beds) with large enclosed garden with petanque area, heated, private and secure swimming pool in summer, heating in winter and wifi.

In a small hamlet in the village of Haimps, come and relax in peace and quiet and enjoy the house and large garden in complete safety for the family. You can also work from home and enjoy long bike rides or walks in the surrounding countryside. You can also visit the Cognac wine cellars, enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic and discover the Romanesque heritage just a few minutes away by car! On your return, take a dip in the swimming pool from May to October!
After a few wide steps, you arrive on a large terrace with a table that seats 12. The entrance to the house gives access to a ground floor with kitchen, bathroom (shower and bath), toilet, lounge/dining room, 4 bedrooms and a library/games room.
One of the bedrooms and the library have access to a south-facing balcony, while all the other bedrooms have uninterrupted views over the large garden.
On the floor below, you will find 2 further bedrooms, a large bathroom (bath and shower with WC), a storeroom and a utility room/kitchen with access to the garden. The 2 bedrooms on this floor have large windows.
The main kitchen is fully equipped: table for 10, new dishwasher, new oven, microwave, filter coffee maker, Nespresso coffee maker, rice cooker, steam cooker, mixer, blender, pastry-making equipment and baby crockery.
The living room is separated from the kitchen by a large double sliding door. Here you will find a table for 10-12 people, 2 sofas, 2 armchairs, a television, a tuned upright piano and a wood-burning stove secured by a fence.
All bedrooms are equipped with cotton duvet and bedspread and 2 pillows per person and storage.

The house is equipped to welcome the little ones: 2 cots with additional mattresses, 2 changing mats, baby bath with infant stabiliser, baby bouncer, 1 high chair and 2 booster seats, 3 potty trays, 1 playpen, a bed rail, baby crockery.

Swimming pool (10 m x 5 m) enclosed by a fence with a secure gate. Open from May to October only, large beach equipped with several deckchairs: depth from 0.8 m to 2 m.
The swimming pool is private (accessible only to tenants) and not overlooked, and is in the garden about fifty metres from the house.
The poolhouse includes a cloakroom with toilet and shower (cold water only), a kitchenette (microwave, coffee machine and fridge) and a covered terrace with a large table seating 12 with chairs and armchairs.
The garden, around 3,000 m2, is fully enclosed and planted with trees, making it an ideal playground for all the family. Several fruit trees (figs, plums, vines, apples and walnuts) adorn the garden. Depending on the season, you'll be able to enjoy them with ease.
Unfortunately, the house is not suitable for pets.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
All the accommodation is available to travellers, with the exception of part of the garage and the cellar.
Many activities are available in the surrounding area, including hiking, visits to wine cellars (pineau and cognac), often accompanied by tastings, and monuments (chĂąteaux, Gallo-Roman sites, Roman churches, etc.).
A leisure area (children's playground, boules pitch, fitness trail, table tennis tables) and tennis court are available free of charge in the village of Haimps (10-minute walk). Fishing in the river Le Briou (permit required). Swimming lessons (children or adults) available in the village, subject to availability. A grocery truck, a pizza truck and a butcher pass by the village square (10 min walk) once a week.
There are many shops nearby (less than 5 minutes by car), particularly in Matha, where you'll also find hypermarkets offering drive-through services.
Depending on the day, there are open-air markets selling local produce (oysters, fruit and vegetables, etc.).
Nearby towns: Matha 5 min, Saint Jean d'Angely 25min, Cognac 30min, AngoulĂȘme 45min, Saintes 45min, La Rochelle 1h15min.
Access by train: AngoulĂȘme, SurgĂšres, Saintes or Cognac.
