When spending time outdoors, the large screened-in porch can be used year-round.

Captains Cove

Great place to just relax. Everything you need is there, just bring groceries. The Cove is a great place to anchor your boat and take in some sun.

Perfect for couple or small family

This house is located in a great cove. The house was superbly clean. The screened in porch and extra deck was perfect. I wish we had time to book again! I will recommend.

Simple and Peaceful

We absolutely loved staying here. This property was right on the lake and had a great screened in porch. Nothing fancy, but all you need for a peaceful time on the lake. The view is spectacular! If we go back to Lake Murray, we will look to stay here again.

Beautiful lake view. Nice quite neighborhood and low boat traffic in the cove. Old school fishing cottage, very clean with wonderful screened porch, deck, grill and dock. Had a lovely time doing nothing!

Great Lake House

We love this house by the lake and want to return again and again. It is a very quiet place, too, and the neighborhood is safe. We love the layout/convenience of the rooms, and especially the screened porch -- plus a deck, and a fishing dock. What more could you want at a pretty lake?

Nice quiet place with a beautiful scenery. Very peaceful.

Everything went smoothly with checking in. No confusion at all. Easy check in, and the place was very nice. Me, my husband and my grandchildren had a wonderful time. Even though it rained part of the weekend, we still had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

Wonderful Stay

We loved this property. The house was very clean. I usually spend time cleaning before I like the place, but this was not the case. The view was amazing and the porch and dock area were perfect for breakfast and dinner. Everything in the house was easy to use and we were so sad we had to leave. We can't wait to go back and spend more time.

Soccer weekend getaway

This was a great place to stay during our sons soccer season end of year tournament in Lexington. A little over 20 minutes into town and much more relaxing than a hotel. Exactly what you see in the listing. We had a great afternoon Saturday after the games sitting on the dock in the sun and fishing a bit. This is a cool little cottage with a lot of charm, and our family really enjoyed our stay. Defiately would come back again.

Amazing!

This was such a great place to stay, clean, quiet, and well stocked with kitchen/Bathroom items, towels and blankets! The dock is great. We didn’t get to swim due to weather but we got to fish and fought catfish, bass, and a blue hill all from there. Nice fire pit down by the dock as well! Breakfast on the screen in porch was perfect! Definitely one of those places you don’t want to leave!

A great place for a little getaway and relaxation

My husband and I enjoyed this get away. The house is very unique, clean and everything you need for a short getaway. The only thing we would suggest because it’s usually a time you’re trying to relax and catch up on sleep is that the bed mattresses are better for they were pretty miserable. We love the dock and the fact that we could put our boat in the water on the property. We thank you for allowing us to stay in this home to charge your batteries We will definitely keep this in mind the next time we do like to get away

Fishing and relaxation

Clean house, but some roaches...ugh! Bunk beds have shredded bottom liners which hang down in lower bed. Very difficult to back boat down crooked driveway.

Nothing Fancy. Yet, Every Bit Relaxing.

It's a cinder-block cabin built in the 1960s. If you are looking for fancy. This is not it. If you are looking for relaxing. This is the place. The cabin has been updated with plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable. My only issue was the extremely loud dishwasher. You can't watch TV after dinner with it going – but there is a delay wash button...so that resolves that. Everything else was a pleasure and enjoyable.

No Oars

It was clean and comfortable but we weren't able to utilize being on the Lake. There were kayaks but no oars. I called the property manager w a promise of a return call but that never happened. The kids were very disappointed.
