Irving House in Cowes

About the home

“Irving House” is a delightful single-storey family and pet-friendly home (pets to remain outside please) in central Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The central hallway provides access to the large open plan Living/Dining Room (with 65" smart TV) and Kitchen, that in turn flows through to the rear Deck. Also off the hallway are Bedroom 1 (with BIR and 43" smart TV), Bedroom 2 (with BIR) and Bedroom 3 (with BIR & 43" smart TV). At the rear of the home are the Bathroom (with shower & toilet) and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) that also leads out to the rear Deck.

Outdoor Areas

The partially covered rear Deck (with gas BBQ & 8-seater table) features the amazing 6-seater electric spa, and overlooks the enclosed rear yard that is perfect for children and pets (pets to remain outside please). The Single Carport provides space for one car, with additional parking for another 3 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the long driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room and another in Bedroom 1, plus two additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Tri-bunk and one set of Single bunks
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
