Willkommen in unserem kürzlich renovierten Ferienhaus mit zwei Schlafzimmern, das an der ruhigen South Shore liegt – perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub am See. Mit einem malerischen Seeblick und direktem Zugang direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite ist es der ideale Ort zum Schwimmen, für Tage am Strand und um einfach mal den Alltag hinter sich zu lassen.

Innen ist das Ferienhaus hell, gemütlich und durchdacht eingerichtet, mit einer praktischen, voll ausgestatteten Küche, die das Kochen und Zusammensein ganz einfach macht. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett, das zweite Schlafzimmer ist mit Etagenbetten (eines davon mit Ausziehbett) ausgestattet, und im Wohnzimmer gibt es zusätzliche Schlafsofas – reichlich Platz für Familien oder Gruppen von bis zu 10 Personen. Außerdem stehen euch Highspeed-Internet und ein Fernseher zum Streamen zur Verfügung. Ihr findet eine voll ausgestattete Küche und einen Grill für einfache Mahlzeiten sowie eine Feuerstelle im Freien für gemütliche Abende.

My family had a great stay on Pelee Island. Simon promptly answered all my questions and was an accommodating host. The cottage was clean and met all our basic needs.

Simon was very good to work with as a host. Answering my questions within reasonable time. Nice to have somewhere to make our own meals and be able to BBQ. Also for kids to be able to relax while raining outside.

Perfect location on the water. Very laidback. Lots of birds, bunnies, and possibly a fox? The cottage has been updated but has some things in progress. In all, it’s a good deal and we enjoyed our long weekend.

We had found multiple cockroaches upon arrival in the couch. We had to move the couch out of the cottage as there were no other places available to rent for our family of 5. The host was considerate of this issue and did offer reimbursement of some money. I will not know for a few days how much we got back.The owners daughter was staying on the property in a small apartment that was directly attached to the cottage which was not mentioned ahead of time. There is a large powerful fan in the bedroom that is less than 1/4 inch from the perimeter of the upper bunk and it hit our 10 year old daughter in the head and caused very significant bleeding which resulted in a a deep cut to the side of her head, a trip to the ambulance, and a cuncussion watch. I suggested the owner move the fan in the future to which he replied " I believe it is reasonably placed " I have since researched the proper distance for a ceiling fan from the perimeter of a bed frame and the fan is infact illegally placed.

I also recognise that clear communication about the property is important, and I'll be looking at ways to make sure guests have a full picture of the space and layout before arrival. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this cottage and found it to be clean, comfortable, and well-suited for our family's visit to Pelee Island. Once we were settled in, our stay was enjoyable and without any major issues. That said, the check-in process was frustrating. We arrived on the island around 4:00 PM, after the 3:00 PM check-in time. The host had previously communicated that the lock code would be sent around 3:00 PM, but we did not receive it for quite some time despite multiple messages. Reaching both the host and VRBO customer support proved difficult. It was tough as well because there was essentially no cell service/data in the immediate area around the property, making communication extremely difficult while waiting outside (we had to drive back to the ferry dock which had better coverage in order to send/receive any messages). Once we received the code, we also experienced some difficulty with the back door lock, which required multiple attempts before it would unlock (despite correct code entry). Fortunately, the front door worked without issue and we used that entrance for the remainder of our stay. The cottage itself was generally clean and in good condition. One minor maintenance issue was that the bathroom door and one of the bedroom doors did not close properly and required significant force to latch. The property did ultimately meet our expectations overall and we enjoyed our stay at Pelee Island. However certainly improved communication

The location was perfect. As the most southeastern island cottage, nature gave us lots of privacy with a short walk to a secluded beach for some lake time. Home has a well equipped kitchen. Bathroom looks recently renovated. Lots of space to put your feet up. Local dining has great food. No bathroom mirror or hanging closet space but it sounds like these improvements are coming. Overall an 8.5 out of 10.

This was one of the worst Vrbo experiences I've had. The property was missing essentials that should be provided for every guest. There were no bath towels, blankets, pillows, bed sheets, or clothes hangers. The bathrooms didn't even have mirrors.The condition of the property was also unacceptable. The ceiling fan appeared unstable and wobbled while running, and the remote worked incorrectly by controlling the fan in the other bedroom. The dining table and chairs were wobbly, the microwave and cooktop were dirty and rusty, and the sofa bed was broken and not even suitable to sit on.The shampoo and body wash provided were very poor quality, and there were spiders throughout the property, raising concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.Overall, the listing did not match reasonable expectations for a comfortable stay. I cannot recommend this property until these issues are addressed.This property is completely overcharged for the condition it is in. I strongly advise everyone to avoid staying here.
