Very satisfied in all respects

This is an excellent value and we were very pleased. The unit is in a condo building. It's a very short walk to the West Wall lift, and from there you can access the whole Crested Butte ski mountain. If you prefer to go to the main base, there is a free local shuttle that stops just across the side street (the condo is on a corner). The unit was very well equipped; far better than most. The owner is his own property manager. He was very responsive and communication (when needed) was prompt. We liked that the unit had a real wood-burning fireplace. The owner was excellent in not only restaurant suggestions, but also in advising to do your main grocery shopping in Gunnison, before you do the last bit of drive to Crested Butte. There is a grocery in CB and an Ace Hardware, but both are expensive. Great for pick-up things while in CB, but do your main shopping in Gunnison. Because this unit has a real fireplace, pick up a box of pressed logs (like DuraFlame) and a few bundles of firewood in Gunnision too, rather than buying in CB. That being said, the town of Crested Butte is really great to experience. It's a 5 minute drive from Mount Crested Butte (where the skiing and condo are) in your own car, or you can take the free bus shuttles.

Great place and great location

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. It was an easy walk to the West Wall lift, and the bus up to the base comes every 30 minutes and is very reliable. I would definitely say here again.

We LOVE the love shack!

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in Crested Butte! The condo was cozy and stocked with everything you need. Walking distance to the resort and a very short drive to downtown CB. The owner was great with communication and gave great dinner/bar recommendations.

Close to ski lift

My husband and I had a great stay, the condo is perfect size and great location. Easy drive, about 5-10 minutes, down the hill to town. We rented snowshoes and went for a hike at the end of Gothic rd which was so close and easy to get to. Will definitely be back! Thanks Ray

LOVED This Place!!

5 Stars all the way around and I would give 10 stars if I could! The owner is very communicative, space was extremely clean and as a bonus, it was quiet, which is so nice! Stayed here with my Bestie for a half marathon and will definitely be revisiting!

A terrific place to stay!

We loved our stay at The Love Shack! Ray provided lots of helpful information throughout the time we booked and when we arrived to stay. There is a binder with helpful information in the condo, as well. The location is perfect in Crested Butte-the condo is right on the shuttle route and the stop is right by the driveway. It makes it so easy to get downtown to eat and shop. It is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and it was very clean. It was so nice to come in after hiking to relax and cook a meal. We would definitely return here!

Cozy condo great location

The Love Shack was a great place to stay in Crested Butte it’s in a great location just as you enter Mt Crested Butte. The condo has everything you need it’s very clean and cozy. The host was very attentive and responsive to all communication. Crested Butte is an idyllic Colorado Mountain town if you haven’t been you have to check it out you won’t be disappointed and stay at the Love Shack it’s really a perfect place to stay with an awesome host! 5 stars across the board!

Great location and communication

We enjoyed our stay at Crested Butte. We especially liked the location. It's close to the resort and easy to find. The walk to the lift was short and we skied back after walking across a street (we created the path - not for everyone). Ray was a responsive and accommodating host and we found the space to be bigger than we expected. There are two couches and the entryway has space for equipment and boots and boot bags. There's also a deck and slider with a view. There are plenty of towels and linens and laundry facilities outside the unit for a fee. We didn't see many other people during our stay. It was quiet and there was plenty of parking. Overall, we recommend and would stay here again. Thank you Ray!

Perfect place for hitting the steeps of CB.

Walking distance of lifts is exactly what we were looking for and this place delivered. Mother Nature was showing off, giving us 9” of fresh powder during our stay. This condo was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was magical in the snowfall. Ray was a great host. Thanks for sharing your space, Ray.

Cozy and convenient!

We really enjoyed our stay, the condo was very comfortable for two and convenient to the west wall lift once we figured out to take the path from near the hot tub to the side street. We had no issues during our stay. The fireplace was not working but, per the signs, it was a whole building issue. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Late Summer Weekend

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The condo was quaint and clean and walking distance from the lifts. We mountain biked one day and did the disc golf course on the mountain the next. The kitchen was well stocked and we had what we needed to make snacks and meals between activities.

So so much better then tent camping for 10 days! This property was very convenient for all the hiking we did in Crested Butte. It was clean and well equipped.
