We had a truly comfortable, relaxing, and lovely stay here. It is so well-appointed - I'm used to rental properties having a bare minimum of kitchen utensils, for example, but we cooked nearly every meal here and lacked for nothing. The beds are comfy, there's a ton of space, and the creek is beautiful. It's such a great place for bird watching - we saw osprey, swallows, nighthawks, and much more. Check in and check out was easy. Well worth the price!

If you are looking for rest and relaxation this mountain house is great for that. We 5 friends of 50yrs spent 8 days together at this home and are most grateful to the host. The river is the main attraction where we sat on the back porch and really enjoyed looking at it. The view the atmosphere is just renewing and peace within all of our beings. Thanks again.

Stellar Property! Well manicured, very enjoyable, peaceful, plenty of room to relax, both inside and outside. Comfortable furniture; professionally curated that added elegance and a calming environment. Strong WiFi signal with plenty of mobile phone chargers. Our group was grateful the owner provided propane for the grill and firewood for the firepit, a tremendous bonus. The patio furniture was great too, we enjoyed the river, all day long. And if you want to enjoy the dark sky, with star gazing, this is the place.

River House slice of Paradise

Love the River House!Kitchen was well appointed with everything one would need. Every room was clean and inviting. Had several BBQs during our stay. Very peaceful sitting on the porch by the river spotting birds. We had nearly a daily visit with an Osprey! Short trip to Idaho City was delightful. Great ice cream store and several quaint shops to visit. And not too far from great Boise restaurants and shops!There’s no better place to stay near Idaho City!

The definition of a “getaway”

Everything about this stay was perfect. It was clean and quiet. It was by a creek. Tons of wood for the fire pit - we had brought our own but they thought of everything. There was plenty of room to spread out and we never felt on top of each other. Loved it. Core memories were made!

A very peaceful retreat. The host provided all the things to make our stay convenient and comfortable. The linens are white. Clean. Comfortable. Which is a must for me to give 5 stars. The home appears to be approx 25 yrs but is in great condition. Very clean and well maintained and furnished in a lovely and comfortable way. There was ample space to hangout, visit, and watch movies, but the highlight of the home is its location by the river. It’s surrounded by mountain vegetation, pine trees, and birds singing. We also loved experiencing an evening campfire by the river. There was amble space for everyone to hang out, visit, and watch movies. The property has a separate structure that has been fixed up and dedicated to a super cute game room. Our teenagers loved that! We would rent this home again!!
