The Wishing Well on Mores Creek - Serenity Now!!

High-end Amenities with an Off Grid feel. Home has 3 levels with main entrance on the second floor; kitchen, living room, bathroom w/ shower and the balcony/deck overlooking the creek. Two bedrooms (queen, full, twin) and second bathroom w/tub upstairs; den with wood stove heat (maple firewood) and one twin bedroom downstairs. Enjoy the garage/game room building with a 4th bedroom upstairs with king, full and twin beds. There are no bathrooms in that building.

Property (2.3acre) runs between Hwy 21 and Mores Creek in Boise Nat Forest. Four Bed/2 bath Tri-Level Lodge Style home sits right on the Creek!


Huge driveway plus two barns. 3 covered spots and 1 camper (sleeps 3) in the pole barn PLUS HipCamp barn for your ATV’s, snowmobiles etc. Each barn has a 110V - 30amp electric hookup for RV’s. Granite driveways provide plenty of parking for other vehicles.
Property bordered by maintained State Highway on the West and Mores Creek on the East.

A peaceful getaway

A short drive from Boise. Our visit was relaxing and fun. During our stay we laid on the hammocks, sat in the lounge chairs in the evening, watched a movie and enjoyed our coffee on the deck. This cabin has everything we needed to make our weekend wonderful. This place is unique and comfortable.

Overall, a nice little cabin. Host was extremely kind and very helpful with our few concerns. We were three adult couples, and the king bedroom over the detached garage with no bathroom was our biggest disappointment. Located right on the highway is a good/bad dilemma. This house would be perfect for a family with lots of area to enjoy and a gorgeous roaring creek below!

Beautiful, peaceful and absolutely amazing

Rented for a family weekend and it was amazing! 15 people came for our birthday and fathers day celebration, this place easily fit us all for dinner and cake. 7 of us readily and comfortably fit for sleeping accommodations. Plenty of peaceful areas to relax and get together with family. We had three teens and even they were entertained the whole weekend! Plenty of games, dishes, space and seating to go around! We would recommend this beautiful home for anyone getting together, and would definitely stay again!

Wonderful week in the mountains!

We wanted a restful week in the mountains and the Wishing Well was perfect. The mountain views and the rushing creek right next to the property were incredible. The house is well appointed with thoughtful touches and so charming. We cooked every night (literally everything you could possibly need in the spacious kitchen) and enjoyed camp fires after. You are close enough to Boise (the views while driving Highway 21 are good for the soul!) to visit the city and get home for peace and quiet. We booked a day of fly fishing at Ann Morrison Park (fishing licenses are easy and convenient to get), toured the Boise Penitentiary, drove to the top of a mountain in Idaho City's Granite Park and saw a comedy show at the Green Room in Boise. You will not find a more accommodating host than Tere. She is committed to the enjoyment of your stay.

So Peaceful

First of all the communication with Tere was excellent. She really cared about us having everything we needed and answered my questions in a timely manner. The home is in a very peaceful area even though its close to the highway. Inside you'll find everything you need to bbq or make a home cooked meal. Outside our kids had a great time exploring and playing in the yard. The creek was relaxing and provided a great calming sound. We are looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful and overall we had a great time. The only thing i would watch out for is when we stayed there wasn’t any AC. When we booked AC was listed and it was pretty hot on the week we stayed ,so that was a little disappointing. Thankfully it was cold enough at night that with windows open and the fans they have all over the house we were able to get it at a decent temperature. Tere and Devon were extremely nice and were always there to reach out if we needed anything. Tere also sent us some pictures and videos before we got there, to get us excited, which was greatly appreciated. The property is so beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed laying on the hammocks and lounging in the creek. Thanks again for having us!

I’ll go back and check my ad. I would not have listed Air conditioning. There’s a central fan so maybe I have checked the wrong box. I’m really sorry as I would never mislead anyone. We do plan on installing an air conditioning system in November.

Great place for a family getaway!

I must say that Tere is a sensational host! She answered any questions I had prior to our visit as well as while we were visiting very promptly. She made sure that all that we needed were there such as a high chair for my youngest Grandson, fans for me as I am in menopause, beach towels for when we went to Lucky peak for the day, ect. The place itself is gorgeous and placed in a quiet (even though the main road is right there) area with a babbling brook that you could see from many of the rooms. My favorite was having coffee every morning on the deck whilst listening to the birds and watching the ducks swim in the creek. My 4 Grandkids loved playing in the creek as well as in the house as there was plenty of room for them to play. There were endless toys for them to play with too! Thank you Tere for that! Such a life saver Every room was clean and tidy and decorated so comfortably. Loved each day we were there so much we might go back next year. If you have a big family (there were 8 of us) this is the perfect place for each member to stay, relax, enjoy and take in all of God’s creation. We made such wonderful memories here and you will too!

Nice getaway close to Boise!

We spent 4 days and 3 nights here over Labor Day 2024. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable and appeared to be newer medium firm memory firm. They were very comfortable. The covered deck was perfect to sit and visit and listen to the creek. The only disconnect for us was not knowing that the game room was in a separate building, thus, some of the sleeping quarters were also in a separate building (above the game room). There was no bathroom in the game room which was a bit of a challenge to navigate with littles. However, the game room was perfect for the kids and the grands and everyone loved the property and amenities. The host was friendly and responsive to any concerns. I would recommend the Wishing Well to anyone looking for that cabin/woods feel that is not too far outside of Boise. Great place!

I’m so sorry Carol, you must’ve missed my lengthy text message and picture on the 29th, the day before your arrival. I sent you a photograph of the turquoise box with the key to the game room hanging from it. I also told you that the King Size Bed was upstairs above the game room. Things can get hectic when you’re traveling and arriving finally at your destination which is probably why you missed that text and photograph. You’re absolutely right about they’re not being a bathroom associated with that building. We do have plans to remedy that.

I've been managing VR's for 16 yrs . My son owns Woodstock Fire Foods catering woodfired Pizza. We purchased this property so we can continue doing what we love. We love people and will do anything to make you comfortable. We focus on attracting business events & families who want to have vacations together, reunions, birthdays, micro-weddings, etc. Any small group who want to come fish, relax by the water, sit in the creek, play and eat BBQ.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

This area is just far enough from Boise to make it convenient and yet surrounded by forest and our property line is the creek itself!! There is a small convenience store, "The Twisted Turkey" just up the road and Idaho City about another 5 miles up. Being located on Highway 21 means you do NOT need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Just pull right into your driveway.

The home was built over the course of many years by the previous owner. He obviously had an artistic flair that you can see in the details. It was a work in progress that we will continue. You'll see what I mean when you walk in the door.
