Bonfire lovers and stargazers alert, you are sure to enjoy the evenings here in the hot tub!
The space
Fully renovated cottage on Climax Creek sits on a country road and provides you the privacy of your own house at a fraction of the cost when you rent this house as a couples retreat! It is the perfect getaway location for a couple looking to escape. A great combination of French country chic and vintage furnishings that give this getaway spot a comfortable and cozy feel. Our cast iron Jotul gas fireplace provides both warmth and ambiance as you enjoy spending time in our open concept great room.
You can plan to ‘work from home’ with strong WiFi, cook some great meals in our renovated chefs kitchen or simple dine out at the fantastic restaurants in town or nearby Catskill, Athens, and Hudson.

When not rented can arrange a traditional ‘mobile’ outdoor wood fired Finnish sauna (Steam on Wheels) by request with a small fee.
Guest access
The rental is private to your use only …as is the yard. Under the rental terms you are only to select one of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms, leaving the other bed/bath vacant/unused. The ‘great room’ is your kitchen/living/dining area to enjoy!
Other things to note
This is a historic Hudson Valley home, in our region you can expect bugs such as boxelder beetles, lady bugs, stink bugs, ants and bees seasonally outside, in the yard and occasionally in the house.
Please consider this if you have any issues or fears. We cannot guarantee the spaces will be free from them but we do employ pest control services and use natural essential oils spray to deter them. A small handheld vacuum is also left in the space for your use during your stay:-)

We expect pets to be house trained and not to go on furniture. If your custom is to allow this please bring your own coverings. Also bring your own towels to wipe down your pet after walks or in inclement weather. Added cleaning will apply if our cleaners must do a deep cleaning to remove hair and prints / dirt from furniture or beds;-) we’ve been there, we understand it happens … we just want to ensure we can keep our pets allowed policy.
