We had a lovely time.

Being right on the lake was a lovely bonus. The outside grounds were well kept and the hot tub in the evening made our stay very special. The cottage was charming and comfortable, an ideal size for a family of four and I could see us staying there again. Jennifer and the staff of Cottage Stays are amazing and were always attentive.

Given this was a “4 sister trip” (all seniors), the house “checked all the boxes! Sunsets were beautiful sitting on the deck overlooking the water, cooking facilities met our needs and the sleeping accommodations were very comfortable. And yes the hot tub helped ease the pains from sightseeing! Our hosts communicated with us on a regular basis prior to and after we left. Excellent customer service and we will definitely return on future trips.

Beautiful setting with direct lake view. Lakehouse is well designed and decorated and equipped for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended property and host. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for our Needs

The location of the property is perfectly situated as a base for day trips to Grand Bend, Pinery Provincial Park, Bayfield, and Goderich. The property itself provides a relatively secluded oasis to enjoy a quiet vacation - the street is populated with a few lake houses but most of the owners/ residents were not there during the week of our stay in early July, which was somewhat surprising. Those that were there were quiet and barely noticeable. The rear of the lake house is full value for access to a private secluded beach on Lake Huron. There is a bit of a climb on the stairs to / from the lake but would only be an issue for those with personal Accessibility issues. The rear yard is very nice and well maintained, with an excellent view of the lake and the wonderful sunsets. There is a deck with a good barbeque and table / chairs to make it very natural to eat / hang out in the back yard. The inside of the lake house is charming and clean and was a perfect size for our small family. Would recommend this for those looking for a more private, quiet holiday experience in the Grand Bend - Goderich strip of Lake Huron.

Home away from home

From the moment we walked inside, we felt so welcomed! There was music playing and a few lamps left on in case we arrived in the dark. The cottage was so warm and cozy and the living room was perfect for our entire family to stretch out at the end of the day. It was clean and the linen service was laid out like we were in an upscale hotel. We spent our days at the pubic beach in Grand Bend and visiting the quaint town of Bayfield (a must see!) and the evenings we were back at the cottage BBQ'ing, enjoying the spectacular sunset and heading down the private staircase to our own little piece of beach front. Thank you Jennifer and Shauna for a wonderful getaway.
