I understand that your review score may have been influenced by the fact that my cleaner arrived before you had checked out. My standard check-out time is 10:00am, although I’m always happy to offer a later check-out where the schedule allows. On this occasion, an 11:00am check-out was agreed, and I had also mentioned that my cleaner would be arriving around that time. The cleaner arrived at approximately 11:15am allowing her enough time to prepare the property for the next guests arriving at 1:00pm. I completely understand that you and your guests were enjoying a sleep-in, and I appreciate that having the cleaner arrive while you were still enjoying the property was not the most comfortable way to finish your stay. I’m sorry if you felt rushed or inconvenienced as you packed up and left. My intention is always for guests to have a relaxed and enjoyable experience, while also making sure the property is properly prepared for the next guests.

Thanks for your suggestions, we have cleaned the split system filters and will arrange for portable heaters for the bedrooms. My apologies regarding the firewood, we have been trying out different ways to supply firewood to our guests and it was an oversight that we did not advise you that more wood was available to you given your longer stay. We will fine tune this moving forward.

Regarding communication, I sent you an extensive welcome message a few days prior to your stay, there was detailed information in the house and I provided my contact number and welcomed calls if you had any issues. I am not sure what more communication you wanted. We are a dog friendly property (as per our listing) but we clean the house very thoroughly between stays. We don't believe bins are necessary in the bedrooms and toilets, it's not far to walk to the kitchen bin. The freezer has some frozen food in it which is not inedible and there is plenty for room for guests to also use the freezer. There are a few condiments and sauces in the fridge, all within date and taking up only the space of half a door shelf in a very large fridge. Most of our guests are grateful for the items that we supply such as cooking oils, herbs and spices, tea and coffee and sauces and condiments if they wish to use them. We do not ask our guests to clean the house and we do not expect our guests to "handle the place". The only thing we ask them to do is to take their garbage to the local garbage depot. This is clearly explained in the listing and is a property rule that you agreed to. As explained in our listing, the council does not provide an onsite garbage collection. All residents and guests need to use the depot. Our cleaner is not able to do this and we cannot guarantee that we can travel to the property to remove garbage between guest's stays. It is standard practice in Taylor Bay for all short stay guests to use the depot. We spend a lot of time and effort on maintaining and improving the house and property and pride ourselves on supplying our guests with a fabulous stay in a magnificent location.
