Love the rustic vibe of this place, peaceful property. It is a bit hard to find especially at night the gps takes you to a random street. The pond I would say is far from stocked, maybe at one point it was.

This property is absolutely darling and perfect for families with dogs. It has a beautiful yard for running around, and a pond in back perfect for a book and glass of wine. This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again.

The Duke Cabin is wonderful! Fabulous pond to go fishing, and the cabin felt like we were in the mountains. Also, the two geese that live on this property were super cool to watch.

Duke Cabin Rocks!!

I highly recommend the Duke cabin for a stay in the Birmingham and Hoover area. Perfect for a weeklong baseball tournament. Fish in spare time. Easy access to interstates. Very comfortable. Hope to revisit the Duke in the future.

Amy was FANTASTIC. She answered all questions in a timely manner and worked with us to get into the cabin hours before 4p. There were many extras available to us I appreciated such as: small fan, lighter, sticks for roasting, fishing poles, and little chairs for our small children. That being said, I would not consider this place if I had children under 3. This rustic cabin has many things that make it “homey” that are not kid friendly. Many stairs, many items kids don’t need to get into including the stove. That is of no fault to the cabin we knew what we were getting into and it was just as described. Toddlers are curious anywhere. We would 10/10 come back. Amy was wonderful, I forgot pets were allowed here it was so clean and it was very accommodating. This is simply something I would consider with small children. On the flip side, our four year old enjoyed fishing!!! Special trip for us to get away!! PS the store up the road has worms for fishing ;) Thanks again Dukes Cabin!!!!

The Duke Cabin was magnificent!!! Everything was smooth from the check in to the cleanliness up until we checked out. The beds were comfortable and being outside was so refreshing! I personally contacted the host and informed her that if I could stay over and over I would because I was highly satisfied of this property.

The pond was ideal for a relaxing getaway. This is a pet friendly stay, so there was some pet hair noticed, but overall cleanliness met my expectations. Could've used hand towels in bathrooms instead of using my bath towel or washcloth, but that wasn't enough of an issue to complain about. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. We caught lots of bass, and enjoyed our time at the cabin. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

This property is where I want to retire! The cabin is so cute and clean. Lots of puppy walking room to explore. The pond is serene and being from the city, we could see the stars at night! I don’t want to give away the best hidden gem I’ve found!

Baseball Brought us

Great little place. Fishing at the pond was a blast. Thats what our son really enjoyed, so it made the stay good.
