You will love visiting Claytor Lake & this great waterfront home! Enjoy the private covered boat dock equipped with a porch swing to take in the views. The water is perfect for swimming right off the dock! Enjoy your days on the huge wrap around deck with ample seating, dining area, & a living room with a wall of windows with views of the lake. Enjoy relaxing under the stars in the hot tub! The tranquility & mountainous view also make this a great retreat anytime of the year!

We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the main entrance prior to check-in. The owners are local, and will be able to be reached by phone, text, or email, during the duration of your stay.

The house is located in the heart of the New River Valley and is just miles from the New River Trail State Park. The neighborhood, with a private road, features about a dozen homes on the upper portion of Claytor Lake. You're only about 2 miles up river from the Lowman's Ferry "Lighthouse" Bridge. The house sits directly on Claytor Lake with a dock for your own private access to the water. About 40 minutes to Virginia Tech and Radford University, 25 Minutes from Draper Valley Golf Club, and about 4 miles to the Boy Scout's Camp Blue Ridge Scout Reservation. There are also many wineries and breweries throughout the area including Iron Heart which is only 8 miles from the house. The area is great for a summer lake vacation, a fall get-away to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, or a peaceful winter retreat.

All areas of the house, decks, and dock are open for access to guests. The dock available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat. The boat lift will be used by the property owners occasionally and the rental does not include use of the owner's boat or boat lift.

This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom, 2 story house features sleeping arrangements for up to 10 people. Two bedrooms have king beds and the third bedroom has a full over full bunk bed. Additionally, there is one sleeper sofa, 2 couches, a sectional sofa, and a Pack n' Play available. Outdoor seating with tables for 8; large dining room table inside. The dock is provided with rental and is available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat. The boat lift will be used by the property owners occasionally and the rental does not include use of the owner's boat or boat lift.

The kitchen is filled with plenty of plates, drinkware, cookware, and items to make your stay comfortable including: Blender, Coffee Maker(regular and Keurig), Toaster, and Waffle Maker. The laundry room is equipped with not only the washer and the dryer but also has some cleaning supplies if needed: Broom & Dust Pan, Mop & Bucket, Swiffer & Swiffer Pads, Vacuum, Disinfecting wipes, tool bag, and first aid kit.

The house also has a Charcoal grill available for guests to use, please bring your own charcoal as we cannot be sure previous guest left any.

You're only 9 miles from I-81. There is a public boat lunch/gas station & convenience store is just a few miles away! Parking is available in the driveway of the house.

The water off of the dock, which has a ladder for easy access in and out of the water, is 5-7 feet deep and is great for swimming! There is a sand bar about 40ft off of the dock that keeps boats from the main channel from coming near the dock.
- Pets are allowed, but an additional pet fee is required, so pets must be included on reservation.
- Internet is available, and is a consistent connection, but speeds can vary and Streaming is very limited, but regular internet usage is usually not an issue.
- Pets allowed with additional $100 pet fee.
- The yard is fenced in, to close it off completely you must shut the front gate at the driveway.

- There are paddles for the Lazybass at the shared kayak rack at the lake between the two houses.

Propane (for grill):
1. There MAY BE a propane tank available at the house.
2.If you see a tank, you may use it for the grill.
3.If the tank is empty, guests are responsible for refilling it.
4.We DO NOT provide propane refills.
