Welcome to Lee's Lakeside Lair, a charming 3-bedroom retreat on the tranquil shores of McQuaby Lake in Ontario's Near North. This cozy cottage offers the perfect escape for families and friends seeking a peaceful getaway with modern comforts and stunning natural beauty. The main floor welcomes you with a kitchen and dining area designed for gathering and sharing meals. A spacious bedroom and 4-piece bathroom provide comfort and convenience, while the adjacent living and dining areas open onto a walkout deck that boasts breathtaking views of the lake. A covered gazebo on the deck ensures you can enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine — whether you're sipping your morning coffee or getting lost in a good book, this is the perfect spot to unwind.

Upstairs, you’ll find another 4-piece bathroom and two more bedrooms, each offering its own charm. One of these bedrooms features a private walkout deck, where you can take in treetop views of the lake and let the calming sounds of nature lull you into relaxation. The upstairs spaces provide a peaceful retreat, ideal for quiet mornings or restful nights after a day of lakeside fun.

The outdoor space at Lee’s Lakeside Lair is designed for lakeside living at its finest. A gently sloping yard leads you past the fire pit to a set of stairs that bring you down to the dock and waterfront, where swimming options abound. With a shallow, sandy walkout for younger guests or non-swimmers and deeper waters around the swim platform, everyone can enjoy the refreshing lake. The dock area is also perfect for relaxing with your feet in the water or setting out for a paddle across McQuaby Lake.

For those looking to explore the local area, the town of Powassan is just a short drive away and has everything you need for your stay, including grocery stores, shops, and a few local restaurants. If you feel like venturing further, North Bay is less than an hour away, offering the perfect opportunity for a day trip to enjoy a bit of city life before returning to the peace and quiet of Lee's Lakeside Lair. This cottage offers a wonderful balance of comfort, nature, and adventure.

Waterfront The cottage waterfront has no beach, but there’s a sandy bottom and you can wade out. Water depth is approximately 5 feet off the end of the dock. It’s mostly clear of weeds in the swimming area.



Close-By Attractions

South Bay Provincial Park. This park has many interesting geological features, and is available for swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking. (25 mins)
Golfing. Several golf courses are within 35 minutes of the cottage - Highview Golf Course, Pinewood Park Golf Course, Osprey Links, and Clear Springs Golf Course.
Winter Activities. Excellent ice fishing is available in the area (bring your own equipment), and the cottage is near a number of snowmobile trails.
Restoule Provincial Park. Paddling alongside ancient cedars at the cliff base of the 100 meter high Stormy Lake Bluff Hiking the Fire Tower Trail for an amazing view of Stormy Lake. Mountain biking on over 8kms of double- and single-track trails with a large range in difficulty. (30 mins)
