A spacious riverside retreat suited to families, larger groups and couples

Welcome to Forget Me Not Farm situated on 480 acres along the Kalgan river's long pools of silence.

Experience this 1975 built stone farmhouse, with original timbers from the property and open plan living. Step outside to the soaring gums and long country walks at your doorstep. Or bring your kayaks and explore the Kalgan river, along with the Luke Pen walk and swimming at Big Pond only 7 minutes away.

The homestead complex comprises two dwellings. The main farmhouse sleeps 12 and is a spacious haven. There are two wood fires; one gigantic firebox in the main living zone which is a showstopper, and a second intimate wood fire in the lounging/TV watching/chat zone. There are up to 3 or 4 couples beds, and 4 or 6 singles.

The second self contained dwelling is a rammed earth barn, with one king bed upstairs and 2 extra beds downstairs on request. Special pricing applies. The barn has lounge and TV, dining, bathroom with shower and toilet and kitchenette and sleeps up to 4 people.

Altogether the complex can accommodate 16 guests with plenty of space for the kids and pets to run about.

Close to local wineries and popular dining such as the renowned Maleeya’s Thai at Porongorups, Monty's Leap 5 minutes away, or Nippers Cafe at Two Peoples's Bay for breakfast with views over the bay.

Or drop into town for some shopping and sightseeing, and then head back to the farm to escape from the world and have a wine and a meal on the verandah or by the log fires.

East of Albany and only 20 minutes from town you have Gull Rock, Nanarup, Two People’s Bay, Little Beach, and Betty’s and Normans beaches only minutes away. Keen fishers will love all the nearby options.

This is a place where families can enjoy wide open space, run around, make a mess, fly kites, or simply sit by the log fire in winter and do nothing but stare at the trees … or take a 1 hour drive to climb Bluff Knoll at the Stirling Ranges. For a shorter climb the Castle Rock Granite Sky Walk is a 35 minute drive from the house.

This generous house has welcomed large groups for decades and can accommodate several families wanting to holiday together.
