Looking for a true Northern Ontario hunting experience? Jake’s Wasi River Hunt Camp is your rugged, affordable home base for serious outdoor adventure. Set along the beautiful Wasi River minutes from downtown Astorville, this private hunt camp offers the perfect mix of backwoods charm and convenience — ideal for hunters, snowmobilers, and outdoor lovers.

The camp sleeps up to 4 people and comes with wood heat included (cozy and free!). If you prefer, you can upgrade to use the propane furnace for an extra fee. It’s a simple, older camp — but trust us, it’s better than a tent, and miles more comfortable than roughing it.

🎯 Hunting Access:

$60/day per person without hunting rights (camp stay only)

$100/day per person with full hunting rights on my private land

Includes use of deer stands in WMU 48

Excellent hunting for deer, bear, ducks, the odd moose, and turkey

Only 1 minute to Crown Land & 8 minutes to Moose Country Crown Land (thousands of acres!)

Road is not plowed in winter — park in my large driveway and snowmobile in if needed

🔥 Firewood – 3 pieces included. Extra firewood available at $15/bundle, or BYOWood.
🌡 Propane Furnace – $20/night or $100/week.
🔌 Generator Rental – $60/night, $150/weekend, or $250/week.
🐾 Well-behaved pets are welcome – $15/day
🧹 Additional Cleaning – Charges may apply if space is left excessively messy.
🎯 WMU 48 Deer Stands – Access available (please inquire).
🛷 Snowmobile Packages – Available (please inquire).

Please note that this is a rustic camp.
-Without a generator, there will be no electricity or running water.
*Please bring:
-your own drinking water,
-throwaway dishes/cookware,
-battery-operated lights, and
- your outdoor gear.

⏰ Check-In Policy – Standard check-in is before 8:30 PM. Late check-ins may be accommodated by prior arrangement for a $25 fee. Please let us know in advance if you’ll be arriving late.
