This tastefully updated one bedroom bungalow condo is located at the famous and storied Ocotillo Lodge, one time exclusive hangout of the glamorous stars of the '50s and '60s. While everything in the unit is mostly brand new, the modern aesthetic works perfectly with the architecture and the surrounding complex, which still retains its midcentury charm and Rat Pack swagger. Midcentury purists and design aficionados will love this option, as it provides the best of both worlds, with all the modern conveniences.

The living room features a modern sofa, HDTV, and a beautiful decorative fireplace. The open kitchen is offers stainless appliances and all the gadgets you’ll need for a weekend or extended vacation. The bedroom also has glass slider access to the large patio and block windows to the east. And the bathroom has a dual vanity and shower/tub combo .

Situated near the northwest corner of the complex, along Palm Canyon Drive, this 1 bedroom 590 square foot ground floor bungalow condo enjoys a private patio larger than many other units, and is just steps away from parking and all the Ocotillo Lodge has to offer. The grounds of the Ocotillo feature a champagne cork shaped heated swimming pool, spa, gym, clubhouse with pool tables, shuffleboard, outdoor BBQ and lounge area, community laundry and much more. OCOTILLO LODGE
The famous 1957-built Ocotillo Lodge, previously owned by Gene Autry, has an incredible history of celebrity guests with their own bungalows and suites! This is where the Rat Pack hung out. Work out in the fitness room overlooking the enormous Champagne cork shaped pool. The Ocotillo is only minutes from restaurants, casinos, golf courses, and downtown Palm Springs. Just off the pool is a cabana with an outside patio bar & grilling facilities. The Ocotillo also features a full gymnasium & recreation room with pool tables, game/card tables & shuffle board.

NEIGHBORHOOD:
Fantastic restaurants and cafes are an easy stroll away or if you plan to stay put, enjoy the huge champagne bottle shaped pool while taking in the majestic view of Mt. San Jacinto. The art of Palm Springs living can be found at the Ocotillo Art Lounge.


Per HOA, you are only allowed 1 dog per unit and it cannot exceed 25 lbs. Pets are not allowed in the pool area for any reason. Dogs must be on a leash at all times within complex.

COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL: This home is just a 5-minute walk to the shuttle stops ( Saguaro Hotel) in Palm Springs.

This was a wonderful bungalow and the location was perfect. There wasn't one item lacking - kitchen or otherwise. Great bed, bedding, enough TP, paper towels, etc. The pool was amazing -- pristine and perfect temperature. Fabulous bungalow & hosts. Thank you!!!

Ocotillo lodge has the best pool in Palm Springs and this classic property never disappoints. The casita was spotless and tastefully decorated. The mid-century modern vibe never gets old!

Great location

Within proximity of hiking, food shopping and restaurants. Our stay was pleasurable except for plumbing issues and strict property rules about bikes. However, staff was friendly and responsive.

The condo and grounds were absolutely amazing. The property has a rich sense of history and a truly authentic mid-century modern vibe—it honestly feels like it was plucked straight out of the 1960s in the best possible way. The pool and hot tubs were fantastic and a real highlight of our stay. The kitchen was also very well stocked, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. Overall, the setting itself was beautiful, relaxing, and memorable.Unfortunately, the property management experience left a lot to be desired. The after-hours check-in directions were chaotic and confusing, and locating their office was difficult since it’s tucked away in a strip mall. While the after-hours emergency hotline was eventually helpful once they responded, we ran into a major issue when the gate code to the facility had changed without any notice. This resulted in us being left outside in the pouring rain while they took their time tracking down the new code.That said, the property itself is truly special. With improved communication and smoother after-hours procedures from management, we would absolutely rent here again.

We loved it! The mid-century decor, the private patio, the beautiful pool and hot tubs, and the location south of the downtown area, which can be noisy. The other guests we met at the pool were interesting, kind and friendly.

Very nice casita, but needs a new mattress

We really enjoyed Our stay at this spacious well furnished casita with the exception of the out of date hard uncomfortable mattress. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The back porch was nice although the grill was pretty bad. If not for the mattress I would always return. When in PS.

Enjoyable, quiet, pleasant...HOWEVER...

The apartment/condo is pleasant, well-equipped, secure, and has all amenities. However, arrival was difficult because the realty office, which supplied our keys via a lock box, failed to tell us which of four gates to use for entry and neglected to supply a required code, which we received only by an emergency call to the real estate office at 10pm. Also not provided the PW for the Internet but that we located on a router on the floor in the bedroom.

Excellent Location

Property and grounds excellent. Condo decorated so mid-century modern-so cute! Loved the private patio. Pool/area quiet and well appointed chairs/tables/umbrellas. Walking to restaurants/grocery store/coffee/ice cream and exploring the neighborhood on foot was super. Will definitely stay in this unit again and/or on the grounds itself for sure.
