We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have been happier with this rental. The location was exactly as advertised—perfectly balanced between city convenience and beach relaxation. It was a quick and easy trip into the city whenever we wanted to explore, while still offering the peaceful option of spending entire days at the beach.The amenities truly made the stay special. Having a beach umbrella and beach chair available was a thoughtful touch that made our beach days even more enjoyable. Inside, the fully functional kitchen had everything we needed, and the lovely sunroom quickly became a favorite spot for relaxed afternoon lunches and downtime together for our 3 person family.Overall, this home was comfortable, well-equipped, and ideally located. Fantastic Location

This was our 2nd stay here. We absolutely love this property. It's in a great location, direct access to the beach and within easy reach of some of the most beautiful beaches on this shore. Unfortunately I did drop a star this time as the place could have been a little cleaner but still a great property.

We have not had any record of such an event for years, but It has been a particularly bad year for ants in the Auckland area, and as always we can never be too careful. I do appreciate that we cannot get it right all the time but would hope that when we make a mistake, we really try to rectify it during the guest's stay.to ensure they leave us feeling happy and relaxed. Fantastic location

Very well appointed and comfortable apartment everything that we needed. We just loved the short few steps to the beach and 10 minute walk to the Milford shopping centre. No road noise.

This apartment was perfect for visiting family in Auckland. Apartment was very clean and beds were comfortable and had everything we required. 10 second walk to the beach was exhausting! Milford shops are about 10 mins walk. Would definitely book again.

We had a really nice stay! Really fun to just walk out the door to the beach. Had some issues with check-in and communication but I think those were due to my phone/internet service rather than the owner - when we were able to reach her it was easy-peasy.

Nice apartment in nice area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is well situated outside of Auckland but it’s easy to get to the city if that’s what you want to do. We spent most of our time heading north to west where the scenery is great. The apartment is exactly as it’s portrayed in the photos, is very clean and has everything you would want for a short stay. There is assigned parking right next to it but if you have a midsize car or larger don’t bother as it’s too tight, just use the ample parking on the street.

The property was very comfortable if you are not staying along time It is well equipped for a short stay if you don’t intend to do a lot of cooking. The kitchen is very basics .the bedding is excellent. our stay was 3 weeks . Some of the furniture is starting to show its age . There is an ant problem and a can of raid is not going to fix the problem. location to shopping is great and beach access very good You are not ocean front but do have a side view of the ocean Thanks

Thank you for the time taken in writing this review, you have our sincere apologies for not finding the kitchen adequate to meet your needs. The kitchen has all the basic essentials required to produce a meal and is both modern clean and spacious We do sympathize with anyone that has an Ant Phobia and understand your frustration at finding 4 ants in the apartment over your stay. We did offer to get in the exterminator, but it did prove difficult in tracking down those 4 ants as you were not sure where you had seen them. Housekeeping has not found any ants. If we ever had an ant problem we would eradicate them right away. We are On The Beach this means there are fifteen steps over the lawn before your toes hit the sand. Milford Beach has been voted the best beach on the North Shore. Merry Christmas

Not as expected

An outer photo of the property should be included. Had I known the building looked the way it did, I would have simply kept scrolling. Upon check-in, which was actually set up well, the place had a musty odour but appeared clean. Outdated. The wifi would not connect to my laptop when the reason I was in NZ was for work and was stated when booking. The beach in front was packed and loud. Dogs barking, we could hear every move the people upstairs made. It was unbearable as I had work that needed to be done. The ad stated “relaxed” but it was not even near relaxing with the noise. The last straw was the ant-infestation and I have photos of them all over the bathroom floor. I used my time to book and pay for another rental far from that area. All the property said was no refund is available and touch the top of the router to make it work (it did not). It was a relief to leave as fast as possible. Do not book if you want to relax or work, this is not the place for you.

We appreciate your valuable feedback as It helps identify the areas we can improve guest experiences. However, in this instance where a guest booked for one person and becomes annoyed when asked to pay for the additional people, she has brought along, and intending to stay is not something we are often faced with. We apologize for upsetting you but our policy is if you book for one person we expect one person to turn up and not your entire family. Our housekeeping team does an amazing job at keeping the apartment sparkling clean and any complaints are taken seriously. Housekeeping has not been able to find any ants, not one. Milford Beach has been voted the most popular beach on Auckland's North Shore and caters to everyone, with safe swimming/kayaking and windsurfing/ We supply FREE for our guests with a 2 seater Canoe to use during their stay.
