Beth's Place II - On The River - Hot Tub & New Pickleball Court! You'll love it!

Beth's Place II is a new, beautifully furnished apartment that was built in March 2020. It is located above our garage and offers complete privacy. The apartment has one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed, a living room with a twin-size sleeper sofa, and a full-size Murphy bed that can be pulled down as needed. The well-equipped kitchen features a full-size stove, a dining area, and everything you need to prepare a meal. There is also a lovely full bathroom with a washer and dryer, towels, washcloths, and basic toiletries.

The apartment has a private entrance with 14 steps leading up to the front door and has ample parking spaces.

Guests can relax and unwind in their private outdoor space, complete with a hot tub and stunning river views. The outdoor area also features chairs, a fire pit, a grill, and beautiful lights at night.

Our property itself is also quite lovely, and guests are welcome to use our brand-new pickleball court installed in September 2023, and the putting green in the front yard. The Raquette River, which flows right behind our house, is also available for our guests. The trail leading down to the river has handrails to make it easier to navigate, and we also provide kayaks and a fire pit down by the river for our guests.

Our stretch of the Raquette River flows all the way to downtown Potsdam, making it an excellent opportunity to kayak there and explore the town. Please note that kayaking is only available from May to November. We cover the putting green once it starts to snow.

Great place. There was a lot of added touches that were included like fire wood, bathrobes and flip flops for the hot tub. Beth goes above and beyond compare to other places we stayed at.

Perfect Getaway!

Perfect place to stay, close to Clarkson, updated, roomy for 3, very clean and easy to book and check in. Wish we found this place earlier than now to book as our son just graduated from Clarkson. Who knows we maybe be back for an alumni lax game and we will surely book again.

Peaceful!

Perfect get away

Beth's place is exactly what is advertised. A great modern, clean home with all the amenities. Because of the rain we weren't able to get out on the water because of flooding, but having the firepit, igloo and hot tub we didn't even miss it. We will definitely be back again!

They do it well

My wife and I had a very nice stay there in Potsdam. Didnt move my car once, biked and kayaked everywhere we went.The property is so well kept and provides all you need in fun, a selection of boats and kayaks and the hot tub and firepit area very private. The rental is so well equipped and clean. You get your moneys worth here at Beths place 2.

Relaxing

Very relaxing and quiet property. In a very convenient location but also out far enough that you feel like your not right in potsdam. The hot tub was a hit but just wish it was not such a very steep hill to the water access. The picture looks like a private beach but we were not able to swim it. Overall our stay was very relaxing!

Weekend Getaway

This property was awesome! The apartment was spotless when we arrived. There is a really nice view of the river. The walkway to get to the small beach area is a little steep but there is a railing along the way that helps a lot. Our fire pit/hot tub area was very private and perfectly cozy. We stayed here at the same time as other guests but we wouldn’t have even known they were there. The igloo is so cool, really nice to read a book and enjoy the outside. The bathroom was stocked with everything you could need and the bed was very comfortable. Less than a 5 minute drive to restaurants/grocery stores. We will be back here for sure!

First of all- kayaks, hot tub, igloo, putting green AND pickleball are all included. The apartment was spacious, clean, had everything we needed and more. We love visiting Potsdam every summer and will definitely book here again next year!

An absolute gem

My son and I stayed at Beth’s Place II with my 84 year old father. This beautifully designed apartment with attention to every detail (from bedding, towels and robes to kitchen supplies and lighting) was a perfect place to stay. All of the beds were comfortable, and the view of the river breath taking. We did not get a chance to use all of the fun things (hot tub, pickleball court, swimming in the river) but look forward to going back when we have more time.

Beautiful home away from home

We came up to Potsdam to visit our daughter who is a college student and this home made our whole trip so special! Beth’s place was spotless and everything in this home was so well appointed. The space had everything we needed and more! The mattress was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. The jacuzzi was a great extra feature and Beth provided robes, towels and flip flops which made going outside in the cold winter weather actually enjoyable. The property was beautiful and serene surrounded by nature. The rental had a lot of privacy and I would recommend this location wholeheartedly. We will definitely come back! Wonderful!

Very clean and homey! We stayed in Beth’s place 2, it was perfect on the side of the house and we had privacy with great views on the river. They offered different activities we really enjoyed coffee in the igloo and the location is close to town. It was a fantastic littleWinter get away! Will stay here again,The place was perfect!

My name is Beth Reasoner, and my husband Jim and I have been residents of Potsdam, NY, for most of our lives. We keep ourselves busy by managing our apartment rental business, a business that we've been running in Potsdam for more than 25 years.

One day, my husband had the idea to convert the first floor of our home into a bed and breakfast. We opened for business three weeks later and named our establishment Beth's Place. This year, 2024, we are celebrating ten years of operation. We have had hundreds of reservations from people all over the world. In March 2020, we expanded our business by opening our second bed and breakfast, Beth's Place II, located above our garage. We take pride in maintaining our places in excellent condition, ensuring that they are clean, well-equipped, and beautiful. We are confident that you will love staying at either one of our bed and breakfasts.

My husband and I originally purchased this home to finish and then sell. While working on the home, we fell in love with the property and the river and decided to sell our house and move in.

There is lots to do on our property. We have a putting green and a new pickleball court (installed on 9/2023) for our guests to enjoy. And our stretch of the Raquette River flows right to the village of Potsdam. So kayaking to the town for dinner or shopping is a must from June to November.
