Very cute bach in a very private setting short walk from the beach. It is surrounded by trees and is a perfect size for 2-4 people. This was our second time staying here and would definitely stay again!

Close to a beautiful beach (easy very short walk), comfortable beds, having a dishwasher was great, the property has awesome privacy and beautiful gardens with stunning hydrangeas. We loved the wrap-around deck and the roaming wild chickens too.

Great place to stay for a relaxing weekend, very accommodating host after we had to shift our dates, the bach was a decent size for the four of us, very clean, close to the beach, good weekend all round, will stay here again

Beautiful outlook

Great communication from our host made the stay easy and the house has a wonderful feeling to it. Don’t forget your own body wash and shampoo though!

Great spot for day trips to Karangahake Gorge and beaches.

A bit damp so think would be really good in summer but ideal for what we needed. Bug spray and insect repellent are a must. But the bach has everything you need for a break away and a short drive to Whanga, Waihi beach and the Karangahake Gorge for day trips.

Tree house holiday by the beach

Excellent value for money bach in a great location close to the beach.We enjoyed the peace and quiet, reading books and playing boardgames whilst looking outside into the garden trees as it rained on and off during our stay.Definitely make the effort to walk up to the beach lookout visit the blowhole and rock arches around the corner.Our host was very accommodating and quick to respond to our messages.We would definitely stay again.

We were working on a house just up the road so this was ideally located. We booked at short notice but they were able to fit us in. We were meant to stay the week of the cyclone but they let us change dates and made it super easy

Relaxing gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little gem. The batch was the perfect size and location for our family of 4. We enjoyed sunny lunches on the deck, the beautiful garden full of native birds and the stunning beach just a short stroll away. There is no WIFI at this bach, which makes unplugging and relaxing all the more possible!

Perfect little bach

We had a lovely two nights staying in this little Bach which is up on poles making it a bit like a treehouse. Very private and beside a wetlands bush area. Short walk to the beach. Classic old kiwi Bach experience, highly recommended.

Everything you need!

We've been here a few times and love the property and location. The bach has everything you need in a well designed elevated construction. Well appointed kitchen and lovely deck with gate to keep little ones contained. Wake to birdsong and enjoy your coffee with Bush views and sound of the ocean in the distance. Yummy fresh oranges waiting for us on arrival. We'll be back!

Good communication from host. House is 2min walk from stunning beach, but you do have to walk further or drive to the part of the beach that is patrolled by surf life savers (recommended as it is a beach which a sharp slope at high tide). House is two bedrooms. Excellent for a couple or with young kids. Challenging for us with three large teens, but there is a pullout sofa bed that works well on one side. In summer the house is also a small challenge to work with in terms of heat as you can’t have the windows open wide because of mozzies ( the house, on poles, is surrounded by visually stunning wetlands). So you need to keep it open during the day. Everything works though ! And it’s a great spot for the price with a good deck and big grounds. Highly recommended!!
