These are the words of the celebrated Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri, creator of The Inspector Montalbano novels, where from was born the famous serial TV " Inspector Montalbano"transmit also in UK on BBC 4 which have given so much prestige to our beautiful region. To the south-east of Sicily, in a setting of crystal clear sea with golden beaches, bright sun and breathtaking sunsets, the latter give its name to our delightful holiday home:”Mediterranean Sunset”
It's a few steps from the beach Torre di Mezzo, with beach chalets, equipped for beach volley, pedal boat rental, a fantastic promenade to enjoy the evening and enjoy our Sicilian granita or our homemade ice cream, and what to say of the restaurants with fresh fish and then local evenings where you can have a drink with live music, karaoke and dj-set
A few kilometres from here , there is the fantastic home of "Inspector Montalbano" in Punta Secca and the famous white lighthouse, the beautiful Torre Scalambri and Torre Viligena once used for guiding ships at sea, from which the district Torre di Mezzo takes its name.
A few kilometres away, there is also an area with golf courses and tennis courts for sports enthusiasts
Around our area you can also find Marina di Ragusa with it’s marina and nightlife, the nature reserve of Randello, the equipped areas of Punta Braccetto and the airport of Comiso. These are just some of the places in our fascinating territory. Traveling by car or by bus you can also visit our baroque pearls of Unesco heritage. About 30 km away are Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, real open-air treasures.
