The Space:

2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These generally have to be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)



3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be very popular.

Pet Policy



We will accept a well-behaved canine member of the family if approved by the property manager. However, the dog must be over one year old, not be aggressive towards people or other pets, be house trained, does not get up on the furniture, and is ok with being left alone when you are away from the cottage (no incessant barking or destructive behavior). We require that you will be a responsible pet owner when the dog is outside, that your dog is always kept on a leash, is up to date on flea and heart worm treatment and... most importantly...that there will be no signs that your pet was in the property when you depart. You must be responsible for any damage and/or extra cleaning caused by your dog. There is a nonrefundable pet fee of $125 for one dog: $175 for two dogs.
