Breathtaking views with peaceful location

The property is very comfortable with great attention to detail and thoughtful touches all around. The views are stunning and can be seen from multiple rooms and the patio. The stars are amazing on a clear night. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful stay

My husband And I absolutely loved our time here, especially using the hot tub on a cold night. We were so lucky to wake up to snow. Susanna was very friendly and inviting. Perfect location away!

This place is so cool. Great place for the a tour of Milford Sound. We used Fiordland tours and it was a great experience. Learn about Astro tourism!The place is great and comfortable. The hosts are so gracious. The view is stunning. Watch the sunset set over real life Lord of the Rings scenery from a hot tub. We will be back!

Outstanding

Susanna was an incredible host and the location was spectacular. Our favorite accommodations and wish we could have stayed longer. From the hot tub you have a 180 degree view of mountains, Te Anau Lake and the valley. Thank you Susanna for wonderful memories, we hope to visit again in the future.

Stunning view

The view of the lake and mountains was absolutey stunning. The house is beautifully decorated and so clean. We loved the tub in the bathroom with the view. The huge shower was wonderful. Amazing Views

Very Clean! Gorgeous view! This place must be new because it is very up- to- date. The pictures are nice must do no justice of the stay here compared to in person! I highly, highly recommend. My husband and I are builders in Florida on the Gulf of America side. This place is eco friendly and very clean and well built. The contemporary feel of the rental is extremely tastefully done! You will not be disappointed! The host is detailed making everything very easy. We travel a lot, and this place was very pleasing, and I am very persnickety.

Star-spangled sky & snow-capped mountains ... LUXURY

Everything about this property and the accommodation experience is 100%. Susanna clearly has a designer's eye & has fitted out this eco-retreat beautifully. Everything is considered * heated floors * separate towels for the hot tub * an extensive portfolio on adventures/guides in the region & local dining options * quality linen * unlimited wifi We couldn't have wished for a better stay. The hot tub on a freezing July night was magical. What a stunning spot. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

We’re passionate about Fiordland, and love to get out and explore it whenever we get the chance. Having a young son means that we are enjoying a slightly slower pace of life these days, but we’re looking forward to being able to get out and do more hiking, mountain biking and skiing / snowboarding as a family.

Glen is an Ecologist, and has a wealth of knowledge on New Zealand's plants and wildlife, and can help answer any questions that you may have.

I (Susanna) grew up in England, and travelled extensively until I found Te Anau in 2012, which I instantly fell in love with and deemed to be ‘the most beautiful part of the most beautiful country in the world’. I’ve held many tourism-focussed positions since moving here, including a season sharing my knowledge of Fiordland with visitors at the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre, and two years managing Fiordland Cinema (a definite ‘must see’!). I’ve also spent many years in voluntary community committees, organising internationally-renowned events such as as the ‘Kepler Challenge’, and the ‘Te Anau Tennis Invitational’. I’m now extremely grateful to be able to spend every waking moment with our young son, and to help guests to enjoy our little piece of paradise.
