The Cottage on Cedar Street is a highly rated, two-story coastal vacation rental located just a 3-minute drive or a 14-minute walk from downtown Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, Washington.

The home is well-known for its reverse floor plan, which positions the bedrooms on the ground floor to maximize the natural light and sweeping views from the upper-level living areas.

Interior Features & Amenities
• Upper-Level Great Room: Showcases 20-foot vaulted ceilings, large south-facing windows, and heated hardwood floors throughout.
• Chef's Kitchen: A bright, fully equipped cooking space featuring a premium Bertazzoni gas range and locally roasted organic coffee beans.
• Bedrooms: Two lower-level bedrooms furnished with queen beds and organic cotton bedding. The main bedroom includes a dedicated workspace.
• Luxury Bathroom: Offers a double-sink vanity and a large walk-in tiled shower equipped with both a rain shower head and a handheld wand.
• Laundry: A full-sized washer and dryer supplied with eco-friendly cleaning products.

Exterior Features
• Salish Sea Views: French doors open from the upper dining room to a spacious south-facing deck, looking out across Griffin Bay toward the southern tip of San Juan Island.

• Outdoor Living: A wrap-around front porch on the lower level and a dedicated BBQ dining area on the upper deck.

• Capacity: Accommodates a maximum of 4 guests.
• Age Limits: Children aged 12 and older are welcome; the property is not equipped for infants or toddlers.
• Pets: Strictly prohibited to maintain an allergen-free environment for future travelers.
• Events: Parties, gatherings, or unregistered guests are prohibited.

The Cottage on Cedar Street is a cozy wood-sided house in a beach town (near the beach!). A small home loaded with coastal charm. A dwelling meant exclusively for guests (that's you!). Cozy comfort is an essential feature. Open floor plan, functions very efficiently; tis bright, cozy and welcoming! Every detail has been meticulously planned with you, our guest, in mind. The interior of the cottage was completely refurbished in 2023, while the exterior was painted a gorgeous light blue with a touch of lavender in a nod to our lavender fields on the island.

* All-natural bamboo toilet and tissue paper, individually wrapped toothbrushes, cotton rounds, and cotton swabs; biodegradable makeup remover wipes; organic body lotion; organic feminine products

* NOTE: products such as benzoyl peroxide and alpha hydroxy acids, common ingredients in acne and skin cleansers/gels/creams/serums, bleach our colored towels (leaving orange blotches that cannot be removed). Please use caution with skin care products.

Laundry

* Eco-friendly laundry products (NO bleach please - our septic system doesn't like it!)

NOTE: We love animals, and we get that guests want to include their fur babies in their vacation plans. If you intend to include pets while visiting the island, please select a pet-friendly property that is appropriate for your needs. To ensure an allergen-free environment for all guests, we enforce a strict policy prohibiting pets. If evidence of an unauthorized animal is discovered, a $500 fee will be charged to guests. We appreciate your cooperation.

In addition:
* We have exterior security cameras monitoring the entrances to the home to ensure compliance with our occupancy limits and our pet policies.

* The semi-circular driveway is shared with all guests and easily accommodates up to three cars.

Reflect. Native American Tribes and First Nations of Canada have lived in and stewarded the San Juan Islands as part of their ancestral territory since time immemorial. Coast Salish people in the Islands tended and harvested shellfish, salmon, crab, and other species from the Sea, camas in the prairies, berries along streams and in forests, and other flora and fauna for food and traditional uses.
