Welcome to our fisherman's house in Chaucre commune of Saint Georges d'Oléron!

The advantage here is of course the sweetness of life. It's nice even in the middle of August. You will be immersed in the Oléronese culture, total change of scenery. You can leave your car and enjoy your stay on foot or by bike in this charming little house of 45m2 in the heart of the village and located 10 minutes walk from one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island.

The house is composed of a ground floor (TV lounge with sofa bed 1x80 or 2x160, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, shower room - all about 25m2) and a first floor (two cosy bedrooms of about 7.5m2, one with a double bed 140 and office space and the other with 1 mezzanine bed 2x140 and 1x90 and a dressing). We have a small terrace (5m2) at the front to store your bikes or to eat at 4.

The location is also ideal to visit our beautiful island (Saint-Denis, the lighthouse of Chassiron, Cotinière harbor), and the beautiful department of Charente Maritime (Fort Boyard, La Rochelle, Palmyre zoo, Royan, Saintes).
The diving school of the Joyeux corsaires is just a step away from the house. You also have the possibility to practice or discover various activities: surfing and kite on the beach of the "Huttes", paddle and sailing from the beach of "La Boirie" and the harbor of Saint-Denis.
A book detailing all the cycling paths of the island is available in the house and will be very useful to define your routes during your stay ;)

The parking 🚗 🚲 🚶
The house does not have a garage or parking space. On the other hand, the very quiet alley offers the possibility to easily unload your belongings and groceries or to take the whole family on a road trip.
Free parking lots are provided in the summer around the village to leave your vehicle safely. Everything can be done on foot or by bike afterwards: beach, bakery, cooperative...

Internet connection 👩💻 🤳
The house doesn't have a high speed internet connection yet. Fiber should arrive soon and we're crossing our fingers... But for the moment no operator provides us with a connection and we are sincerely sorry for that. So we equipped the house with a 4G box which works well normally.
