50th Wedding Anniversary

We had a great extended weekend, the house was just as advertised and perfect for our family. The only inconvenience was the lack of supplies in the kitchen.. but it wasn’t a deal breaker! Would definitely stay again. :)

4th timer. Sunset Place delivers again.

This was our fourth time at Sunset Place. We keep coming back for a reason. Number one the beach. You can't beat the proximity and the private nature of the beach outside your door. The other big reason we keep coming back is that it's just enough for what we need. There are bigger houses with pools and elevators, but they also come with a larger price tag. SP has the bedrooms, bathrooms and space for the 11 of us. I've left past reviews about amenities that have gotten a bit out of date. This trip I was very impressed that the owners had redone the upstairs bathrooms. Last year, one of the hot hot water faucets didn't work. The sinks and faucets and showers were pretty aged. It was nice having all new amenities in the upstairs bathrooms. The double bed was comfy. The pull out matters is falling in on one corner. My daughter slept on it all week and was fine but that sounds get addressed. I believe the stove in the kitchen was new. Worked great. The ice maker was working well and that is a key amenity as is the drink refrigerator. My only complaint is that I sent a message prior to coming about the grill. Last year, I got there and the grill was disgusting and I was pleased that that they replaced it immediately with a brand new grill. This year I showed up and one of the first things I checked out was the grill and it was missing a grate. It was the grill from last year and you can see what one year of being on the ocean does to the grill because it looked like it was 10 years old. But I was very disappointed that the grate was missing and when I let maintenance know they looked into it right away but had to order the part and we never had a second grade as it took over a week for delivery. Coming from Wisconsin, we are big grillers and we cooked fish, brats, burgers, etc. We just had to use the charcoal grill. Not the end of the world but again frustrating because I had asked that the grill was looked into. Considering the grill was really the only thing that I could complain about, I consider this house a great choice. A could recommendations I would make is to perhaps put a bar downstairs outside and a wash station or shower and perhaps some storage area for gear. But that's just a wish list. Thank you Sunset Place!

Perfect Beach House

The location of the house was perfect. The deck was filled with great wood furniture (and a lot of it!!!). The dining table was large enough for large families and the windows all across the house was breathtaking….during sunshine and storms💨🌪️🌞☀️. Wished I could have stayed longer, I hope to come back soon!
