A totally unique property on the big island on one of the best beaches that has homes to rent.Mary Fox, the property manager does an excellent job as she has done for years.Although the house is charming and the proximity to the beach his close, be advised that this house has almost no storage place for suitcases, etc.

Much thought and design was put into this treehouse type bungalow which typifies old hawaiiana with rich wood interior paneling. Perfectly clean upon arrival. Easy access to the beach and snorkeling. Grocery shopping a short drive away. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware with very nice appliances. The air flow from many windows,the ceiling fans and nice bedding made sleeping very comfortable. The staff at 2 Papayas was excellent in helping arrange our reservation,notifing us prior to arrival, updating us with weather warnings, quickly resolving any house repairs and providing a thorough to-do list for easy check out at our time of departure. Hawaii Surf & Kayak delivered SUP Boards to the bunglow for our length of stay and we did a kayak tour with them nearby viewing turtles, manta rays and octopus. Hearing the local songbirds each morning was a special treat!

The location is oceanside, with a white sandy beach, has fantastic swimming and snorkeling with turtle viewing nearby. We had sunset watch every evening, beach star gazing at night, barbeques, and dinners on the lanai. The beach is easy to access for small children. Location is quiet, an easy drive to markets, shopping or entertainment. Most mornings and evenings I was the only one in the water! Manager is attentive and services are all arranged for a carefree visit. Love, love, love this location and the accommodations.

Basically right on the beach, but with privacy. Stocked with everything you might need or want and Mary’s team is just a phone call away in case anything comes up. From having the Hawaiian music channel playing and cold towels and a pitcher of cold filtered water in the fridge when you arrive, to the papayas and limes ready to use. We settle in like it’s home.
