Wonderful Vacation

The property was absolutely beautiful. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to cook with. The set up of the house made sense wity the kitchen, dining, and living room overlooking the gorgeous backyard. My kids spent most of their time in the heated pool. There was a beautiful patio table with outdoor lights. A firepit as well as a charcoal grill. Everything was fenced in for safety which I really appreciated with a 13 month old. The property backed up to a canal with a sturdy dock for fishing or launching a boat. The neighborhood was quiet and only a 4 minute drive to the beach which had free parking! My family of 5 plus my parent's had the absolute best time and hope to be back soon! Also the hosts were fantastic! Super accommodating to our needs, easily able to communicate with them, and very friendly. We had a microwave in the house that wasnt working when we arrived and they immediately brought over a replacement for us. I cannot recommend this place enough! For anyone who complains about the lack of toiletries or personal items, that is standard with all vacations properties! Plan accordingly and pack extra for your family or shop at the winn dixie that is less than 10 minutes down the road. Th area is also amazing. You get to experience the quiet beach life in a smaller Florida town. There is a gator park, the old spanish fort, downtown historic distric which is great for shopping with locals, the beach is also so!

Exceeded our expectations!

Our family had a previous disappointment in a rental that was in a similar area... so David and Patty's home was such a wonderful, spacious layout for our family! We so enjoyed access to their heated pool, a big backyard where we could relax & play games, we made puzzles, cooked out, and fished not to mention had plenty of room for any kind of backyard game. Their decor is pleasing, the home clean, and outfitted comfortably.

Lovely

Over all it was a great stay but it’s listed as a beach house. It could’ve had a bit more beach accessories including chairs, umbrella’s, maybe a boogie board, sand toys/shovels and extra towels. The fishing dock and pool were great for the kids.

Spring break family trip

The house and area are great. The pool is a really nice addition to a beach trip - it was warm and had plenty of room for floating. Wish we could’ve turned off the waterfall - it was a little noisy for talking around the pool. Also there isn’t a handrail to get in/out of the pool, so use caution. The house is well appointed and spacious. Plenty of space for everyone. The covered pergola was terrific for hanging out under the lights. Appreciate having a full size washer/dryer to keep us with the towels! Overall a great property! Would rent this one again. Plus, the property hosts were kind and attentive. Very helpful.

The house was nice but it should have had enough dish washer soap. Laundry soap toilet paper and garbage bags for 6 adults staying a week. The house also could have used more bath towels. Most house we have stayed at are fully stocked with those items

Family Vacation

This property has a pool and patio that provides family togetherness and memories. We swam in the pool often every day and evening under the stars. We ate family meals around the outdoor table and visited often around the pool. The heated pool felt awesome and relaxing. The neighborhood was family friendly. We felt close to St Augustine Beach and Old Town where we visited often. We also walked to Butler beach often. The sunrises were beautiful. We highly recommend this property.

Outstanding pool, backyard & patio areas

We stayed with our 2 daughters and their families. We were a total of 10 ranging in age from 11 - 81. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed. We only wish there were extra blankets and pillows, but the next day we contacted the manager and they came over with them. Even though we had cool temps the pool was warm and we enjoyed the sunny patio area.

Perfect Location

The house is in a great location- walking distance to the beach, and driving distance to lovely St. Augustine and other attractions. The outdoor area was a perfect area to soak up the sun or relax in the under the pergola. We had a great stay!

Our paradise away from home!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home! The hosts were absolutely amazing! Our son took full advantage of being right on the water and fished most of the time. We saw so many different fish and lots of sea turtles swim by!! The pool and outside area was our favorite spot! We had so much fun! The house is in a nice safe area and the vibe of the beach town is so laid back and not overly crowded. We will definitely be back!

ZERO COMPLAINTS!!!

We stayed at the salty beach retreat house for a week and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had zero complaints about the property the rooms the beds and amenities. Kids loved the pool after our hot beach days, we had plenty of room for our entire group of 7 as well as had several guests who stayed a night also. It was all perfect, WE WIL BE STAYING AGAIN!!!

Family staycation

This home was an amazing place for our first vacation with our adult children. Plenty of room for the 6 of us with king sized beds in 3 of the bedrooms and queen bunks in another which thrilled our granddaughter. The street is very quiet and peaceful and the pool was a great alternative to the beach for those who wanted to stay “home”. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and cocktails, including a blender for frozen ones. We enjoyed the covered eating/gathering area by the pool which includes a decent size charcoal grill. Also, we enjoyed s’mores cooked over the fire pit. Each room has a large tv to enjoy streaming or included Roku shows. David, Patti and Jen are quick to respond if we had a question or need. Would highly recommend this lovely home and will definitely book again in the future. Thanks for an amazing clean and safe place to enjoy our beach stay;)

Summer Getaway

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The house is immaculate and represented well from the description. We did not have any issues and the property managers were available as needed. The neighborhood is quiet and the pool was a great way to end each day after the beach. We will definitely return to St. Augustine!

Fun in the Sun

We had the best time on our return trip to Salty Retreat! The new furniture updates made our stay even more comfortable. The well furnished kitchen makes cooking at home easy and the beds are comfy for a great night’s sleep. We love being close to the beach, having pool time at the house, and fishing the canal. The fire pit is fun for s’mores in the evening.

Salty beach

Salty beach was great for our multi generation getaway. Plenty of room to enjoy each other’s company and very well set up. We loved the pool and fire pit. The host was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions.

Great House

Close to anything you wanna do in st augustine. Fully equipped and clean. Pool was a nice bonus. Master is upstairs. One bedroom downstairs. Only half bath downstairs. Was just right for my family. Will definitely stay again.
