Die jährliche Catoctin Colorfest wird im Oktober stattfinden. Über 350 juried Kunst und Handwerk wird in zwei Bereichen in der Stadt von Thurmont ausgestellt. Beide Bereiche sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Gewerbegebiete sind die Thurmont Community Park und The Guardian Hose Company Aktivitäten Gelände. Der Eintritt zu beiden der Handwerksbereichen ist frei.

If you are looking for seclusion this is the cabin for you!! Absolutely love the screened-in porch, listening to the creek and birds. Plenty of opportunity for walks up & down the lane and nearby parks etc. Very dog friendly. We had an incredible stay at the “little cabin in the woods”. We felt right at home! Everything was just as it had been stated and BETTER! We loved the privacy and the natural sights and sounds of nature. Everything was in the little cabin that we needed. We were close to the attractions we were interested in and could return, after our day trips, to comfortable rest, relaxation and peace. Although we did not meet our hosts, we felt assured that any issue would be addressed. There was a nice note of welcome waiting for us when we arrived. Our “fur baby”, Daisy, was very content and it was wonderful to be able to just open the door and let her out. Eating meals on the screened in porch, reading and having morning coffee in the fresh air was great. So much offered and just not enough time to enjoy all the amenities!! Hope we will return again!! Thank you, Deb and Danny for allowing us to enjoy your little home!! Simply LOVED IT!!

We’ve stayed at this cabin several times now and always had a great time. The house is clean and comfortable with a great fireplace. Although there had been significant snow in the area, the road up to the cabin was well kept and clear. We appreciated the welcoming communication from the hosts as well. This is a wonderful remote area with very little traffic. Very peaceful.

The property was AMAZING! It felt like our own little slice of heaven! Unfortunately the weather was less than ideal, especially for outdoor enthusiasts, but thank goodness for the smart TV! The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The place was clean. The screened in porch was perfect for the cold and rain. The two dogs my friend and I brought had such a blast exploring the trails and playing in the creek. The privacy and seclusion were top notch and afforded our dog to be offleash the enture weekend on the property. The dogs are already begging us to book another visit here!Thanks so much Daniel and Deb for your hospitality and for fielding our phone call at 11pm on Saturday when we managed to lock ourselves out on the patio without have the phone that had all the info on it outside with us.We look forward to another visit!

The location is private and very peaceful. We stayed for 4 nights. We needed a place that was close to Springfield Manor as our niece was getting married there. We also needed a place that would accommodate our 80 lb yellow lab. This little cabin was absolutely perfect ! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes, some spices and a regular coffee maker with filters rather than a Keurig which we really appreciated. Everything was very clean comfortable.There is an outdoor fire ring behind the cabin and wood is provided. They also had three lawn chairs for that area. We brought our own because we weren't expecting they would proved any. We didn't spend as much time at the cabin as we would have liked because of the all the family events we had to attend. We would love to go back again for a longer stay and take advantage of some of the hiking the area has to offer and just relax at the cabin.

Dan & I have always loved the outdoors, especially the forests. So, when he found this property, it was like it was destined for us to live here. & here we are, 15 years later, still enjoying our little piece of Heaven. Lots of upkeep & work I grant you; but well worth all of our efforts!!

When we purchased the property, there was this little weekend cabin placed on the second parcel. Dan & I lived there while building our home for when he decides to retire. If ever!

Some years ago, we decided to share the cabin & the quiet & solitude that we enjoy so much. Plenty of wildlife & birds to observe. The sounds of the creek alone are enough to make the tension disappear. It's just a peaceful place to kick back & enjoy yourself or a good book or reconnect with family or each other. In this hectic life we live, nowadays, it's nice to know there is a quiet little place to escape to Revuenate, relax or take a much needed walk in the woods.
