Welcome to Heron Azul - a home designed and outfitted for a fun, memorable time for everyone!

Heron Azul features a 16x32 swimming pool with a wraparound deck encasing a hot tub (or a cool jetted tub for those hot summer evenings). Note, the swimming pool has a steep transition between the shallow and deep end, a safety, floating rope is attached in between.

We know that when families vacation together, they want to have fun. We try to ensure that with a multitude of outdoor games including:

~ corn-hole boards
~ tetherball
~ outdoor ping pong table
~ croquet
~ disc golf
~ outdoor Yahtzee
~ scoop ball game
~ ring toss

The backyard has an almost always shady outside seating with two tables, extra seating, a fire pit and outdoor string lights make an inviting evening gathering. Watch the deer feeding below from the sitting area!

The 2500 ft concrete home features open floor plan with high ceilings, partial lake views from the main floor and great views from upstairs.

All beds feature 500 thread count 100% cotton percale sheets. The master bedroom offers a king bed and seating area. The master ensuite bath has both a shower and a separate claw foot tub with fizzy bath bombs and Epsom salt provided.

The second bedroom has a king bed and a chair with reading lamp.
The third guest bedroom has a twin XL and a twin with a desk and coloring books with colors. Both bedrooms downstairs that share a full bath with a 6' tub.

The well-stocked kitchen includes a double wall oven, gas cooktop stove, and microwave. Other appliances include:

~ drip coffee maker with coffee provided
~ crockpot
~ four slice toaster
~ electric griddle
~ ninja mixer blender
~ electric can opener
~ electric hand mixer
~ salad shooter
~ frozen yogurt/ice cream maker

The kitchen is also stocked with:

~ nonstick cooking spray
~ basic spices

There is a coffee/tea nook with a Keurig and a variety of coffee pods and tea bags. Sugar and artificial sweeteners are provided.

The living room has a 55" television with Netflix, YouTube TV and Prime Video. Seating includes two lounge chairs, one reading chair and a loveseat.

Upstairs is the 500 sq foot game room that also has a queen horizontal murphy bed with a 12" mattress. The game room features a Foosball table, a 7ft Pockey Multi-Game Table (Play Pool, and Air Hockey), a 70" television (with Netflix, YouTube TV and Prime Video). Floor-to-10' ceiling blackout curtains, and a popcorn trolley give the room a "movie theater" feel. In addition, the game room is stocked with dozens of board games for fun for everyone.

Family Vacation

Great place to stay with activities for everyone. Loved the house, amenities and the view. The hot tub was very relaxing in the chilly air. Kids loved the game room, popcorn machine and outdoor activities. Definitely recommend for a family vacation location.

Great location for total relaxation! The house is wonderful, plenty of space to sleep for all and enjoy. Sad about the lake but that is beyond the owners control. My friends and I had a great time! Thank you.

Great Property, great views, and plenty to do.

We had such a great time! House is stocked with games, complimentary items, and just something g for everyone. Had coffee on the balcony while listening to the beautiful songs of the cardinals and watching the deer nearby. Plenty of board game choices to choose from and entertainment for the family during a rainy day. The pool was just amazing to have and swim in. Owners had pool towels, life jackets, noodles to float on, and a great flood light for night swims. Gruene, Wimberley, and tubing is a short distance away! Had a great time here and made plenty of memories.

Beware Of This Property

We rented this lake front property with friends and children for five nights. When we arrived at the property there is absolutely no access to Canyon Lake from this property. There is no kayaks no JetSki’s no paddleboard’s and the boat ramps were locked none of that was usable because there is no water. The day after we checked in I contacted the host so she proceeds to change her bio on Vrbo and use one of my photos showing that the lake is low. The lake is not low there is no water at this property absolutely horrible I do not know how she sleeps at night taking peoples hard earned money knowing canyon lake is not accessible from this property. so sad we saved and saved and she could have cared less. There is a huge difference in low and unacceptable. I was more than disappointed but I tried to keep an OK attitude for the company. DO NOT RENT

Great House

Had a great time here. Spent week of Christmas here. House was perfect for our family. Plenty of space and amenities. Hosts provide plenty of games and such for keeping you entertained inside and outside. Large outdoor space perfect for spending time outside with plenty of seating, games, and a fire pit. Pool area very nice. Didn't swim in pool (too cold), but enjoyed the hot tub. Lake water level still very low, but hosts are very honest and upfront about that, so we were expecting it. House still has a beautiful view and you can go hike around the lake easily directly from house. Pretty awesome spot for the money.

Bachelorette weekend!

We had a great weekend staying here. We were a bachelorette party of 7 and it was such a nice time. The lake was super dry but it is what it is! The pool was great and outdoor games were a lot of fun. Beds were super comfortable and everyone felt very at home. The property was quiet and it was the perfect getaway from the city!

Great family stay

Great house, very nice owners. Furniture nice, stylish and comfortable. Great deck, pool, hot tub and outdoor gathering area. Even in heat of summer. Check lake levels, lake was way low and not accessible from the house at this time. If your going for lake access this one. If the house, for views and cool breeze and nice outdoor area this on has it. Kitchen a bit small and tight, but worked for the family. Lots of games to play, worked well with our 20 month old grand daughter.

Awesome Pool !

We had so much fun here ! The lake views were beautiful . Kayaks and paddle boards were provided , but the lake levels being so low was a bummer . It was a bit of a hike down to the water, and the ground was pretty murky and muddy so we didn’t use the lake at all. We ended up going to a nearby park to access the lake. The pool was a godsend! Spent so much time hanging out on the deck and in the pool. Otherwise, The house itself was great. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms, great kitchen and wifi worked well. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful vacation home

Our family had a great time. The pool and hot tub were clean, the house was the right size for our group, and there were plenty of things for all age groups to enjoy - especially the air hockey table and board games. The extra water shoes and life jackets were also a plus so that we didn't have to pack them. Couldn't have been better!

Although from Texas and North Dakota, Ward and I met in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. We were married and have raised our two children there. We love to travel, and one thing we learned early on was vacation homes were the best lodging options for families.

I am an Aggie, but my daughter and son are Longhorns. We are an amicably divided family!

When my daughter (the elder child) chose to attend UT, we decided to vacation in the the Hill Country before we settled her into her dorm. We fell in love with the area and planned to retire here someday. That came in 2015. We live at home in the winter and travel in our RV (with 2 dogs) each summer.

This property is one of the most secluded, peaceful, beautiful parts of Canyon Lake (in my humble opinion). There is wildlife galore -- and, yes, there is a blue heron! A beautiful natural shoreline and a cove that does not get overwhelming amounts of boat traffic.
