Natürliche Schönheit umgibt dieses Seeufer-Anwesen

Lawson and Scott were exemplary guests who shared with us their enthusiasm for the property. They gave us spectacular photos, and even drone footage that we hope to get posted soon!

There is an amazing walk along the north shore of Floras lake, at the end of Boice Cope road, which takes you to the ocean that is separated from the lake by a sand dune. It is a short walk that lets you take in a lake AND an ocean. The couch has movable cushions and with our three footstools and pillows you can get really comfortable, you just need to play with the pieces. It is an unusual modern piece of furniture that faces two directions, and does require some adaptation.

Every bedroom has a screened window and has always had screens. Two of the bedrooms have two windows, one of each is screened. The guest did arrive at a time when the cooktop was malfunctioning, but it was fixed within a few days. We provided her with a really cool single burner induction cooktop, but apparently it was not appreciated. There is an attached studio that is separated from the main house by a garage. It is clearly referenced in several places in the listing.

This guest brought a dog onto the property when she specifically stated that she was not bringing any pets. Her large dog, a mixed breed with possible pitbull DNA, had a shock collar and was left unattended creating an incident with the neighbors. When people have been caught being irresponsible with their pets it can lead to embarrassment, and perhaps this colored Judy’s opinions. We were not contacted at anytime by Judy during her stay, so to learn at this late date that she had issues is surprising. Apparently 50+ square feet of brand new granite counter tops and their adjacent cabinets was not enough space. She called it “tiny”. She also uses the word “awful” regarding the cookware. We supply a wide assortment of name brand cookware, Hexclad, Pyrex, Cuisinart, Betty Crocker, Victorinox knifes, etc. as well as lesser brands mixed in. Maybe that was her issue, that not all the cookware was brand name? Look at the pictures of our kitchen with bay and garden windows, farmhouse sink, Briza faucet (google Briza faucets). There are TWO side by side small refrigerators that hold 9 cubic feet of food. She called it non existent. She complains of no roof over the deck, which makes you unable to enjoy the view when it rains. What huh? That doesn’t even make sense. We have cast iron deck chairs with no cushions. From time to time we get strong to gale force winds. Any outdoor furniture needs to be heavy enough to not blow away. We have dozens of pictures on our listing. They clearly show the cast iron furniture and deck with no roof. There is a clear disconnect between reality and what is real in this guest’s review. Please look at the pictures and look up our reviews elsewhere. This review is the only one that hasn't been glowing. We are superhosts and know how to accommodate guests and make sure their needs are met. If you need a roof over the deck to enjoy the view when it rains, then please find that roof. If you need more than 50 square feet of counter space to feel uncrowded in a kitchen, then you need a big kitchen. If you need more fridge space, just ask, we have another fridge downstairs we can give you. If you like a sparkling clean home in a marvelous part of the Oregon coast, with hosts who are attentive and rational, then please come and stay. We look forward to having you. And as Judy did point out, to her credit, the view is pretty great.
