Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac along Mobile Bay, Meme's is the perfect retreat for discerning guests who want to enjoy the beauty of sunrises and sunsets on the water. This waterfront home has two large bedrooms and two newly renovated baths, a well appointed kitchen and plenty of comfy spaces from which you can enjoy the water and the wildlife. Guests often report seeing dolphins playing in the water in front of the covered dock. Pelicans, seagulls, osprey, eagles, and herons abound. This home is also dog friendly and has a fully fenced back yard.

Relax on one of the two screened porches where you'll find rockers, swings, and tables for outdoor dining. Or hangout on the back patio while cooking up a feast on the charcoal grill. While there is not easy access to the water, fishing is good from the seawall and dock plus the home is only about a mile from the white sand Gulf beaches of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve.

The trip to the center of Gulf Shores takes less than 10 minutes. There you will find grocery stores, restaurants and other attractions. Several good restaurants can also be found a few miles West at Jesse's on the Bay or at the Beach Club. Or pickup some local seafood from nearby shops and prepare your own feast in the fully stocked kitchen.

Spend your days exploring the nearby attractions, such as the stunning Ft Morgan beaches, historic Fort Morgan, the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve, and the lush Gulf State Park, all within a short drive. When you return catch up on your favorite shows on the smart TV. For a bit of entertainment, dive into the selection of games, books, and DVDs available or sign in to your favorite streaming service.

When it's time to retire for the night, you'll find comfortable accommodations with a king sized bed in the primary bedroom, two twins in the second bedroom and a sleeper sofa. With two new full baths, air conditioning, two screened porches with water views you will have all the essential amenities you need.

What a peaceful and charming place - we love it

WOW - we had all a wonderful time there at Memes cottage. We loved it to hang out on the patio, had breakfast or BBQ in the wonderful garden. You can see squirrels, the water and the fantastic sunset. The cottage is well equipped and has everything we needed. It was very clean and cosy. Martha is also a very nice person who was there for us in every situation. Now we are back in Germany and we miss the nice week there at gulf shores but we have great memories of this time. We can recommend that place absolutely and we bet that everybody likes that place so much as we. The beaches nearby are clean, white, quiet and beautiful. Maybe we come back anytime, we'd love to. I've stayed at this property before and I love it! It's exceptionally clean and the area is quiet. Being away from the noise and chaos of Gulf Shores is very nice, but it's easy to drive in to the restaurants in town.The owners are very nice and respond quickly to text messages.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and it is our "happy place". The house itself is always very clean and comfortable. The new bathroom renovations are great! This is our second time staying at this property and it was just as lovely as the first time!! Great location to downtown Gulf Shores but far enough away to be peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay. House was great and perfect for our needs. Sunset was amazing from the dock or porch. Fishing from the dock was fun. The house was in a very quiet area away from the crowds. Neighbors were friendly. Just a short drive to Gulf Shores or Fort Morgan public beaches (we went to both). It was also a very short drive for groceries or a plethora of restaurants. Our dog loved the yard and the wildlife. Screened porch was amazing when the mosquitos became a nuisance (really only 2 evenings for us). The view was great from the living room as well. Very relaxing much needed vacation. Thanks for hosting our family.

The pictures of this beautiful home is what attracted me to bring my wife to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary; however, the experience of what we had and the location is what will bring us back! Our host was so nice and the home on the bay was so clean and beautiful. Downtown life with restaurants and entertainment is only a 20 minute drive. The location was peaceful and relaxing! We even got in some fishing, reading, cooked out on the grill and took in a movie. A wonderful anniversary! I will definitely book this again!
