Die Papakea Oceanfront Resort, eine versteckte Hawaiian Juwel, ist eine tropische Oase am 13. weitläufige Hektar üppiger und wunderschön gepflegten Gelände in gehobenen West Maui mit herrlichem Blick auf Lanai und Molokai Inseln. Die Papakea ist in der ruhigen Gegend von Honokawai. Es ist günstig zwischen den Kaanapali und Kapalua Weltklasse-Golf-Resorts und ist nur wenige Minuten von Lahaina, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Nachtleben.

Unsere Wohnung, in der 'L' Gebäude, ist nur 50 Schritte vom Rand des Wassers, so schließen Sie die Brandung im Inneren zu hören! Direkt vor unserem Gebäude einen direkten Zugang zum weltberühmten Kaanapali Beach. Im Süden können Sie Meilen entlang der weißen Sandstrand in Richtung Black Rock spazieren, Anhalten auf dem Weg zum Schwimmen oder einem fantastisch Schnorcheln.

Unsere Lanai Blick auf den Ozean direkt und bietet ungehinderte 180-Grad-Ansichten von wunderschönen Morgen Sonnenaufgänge, bezaubernde Tagesregenbogen über dem Meer, spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge jede Nacht, und unglaubliche Shows während Walbeobachtungssaison. Unsere komfortablen home-away-from-home umfasst umgebauten Küche & Bad, aktualisiert Fliesenboden, Designer Lackfarben, Insel-Stil eingerichtet und mit Flachbild-TVs. Schlafmöglichkeiten für vier vor fünf mit einem Kingsize-Bett im Master, ein Queensize-Bett in der geräumigen und private Dachboden, ein Queen-Size-Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer und ein Badezimmer. Wir sind auf der Oberseite / 4. Etage und haben hochfliegende 18 'Kathedrale Decken verleihen ein offenes und luftiges Gefühl. Wir haben keine zentrale Klima haben aber ein Fenster a / c-Einheit. This property is perfectly located within the Papakea resort and has spectacular sunset views. It is right on the ocean and close enough but not too close to the pool. It was clean, comfortable,well equipped, and the owners were very helpful answering questions and offer suggestions about restuarants and things to do. You will not be at a loss for things to do on this beautiful island. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

With all the kitchen equipment it was very functional. Liked the owner had posted many helpful messages to help use the facilities. Especially liked it had a kettle for tea. Could use a temp probe for meat. The loft was ideal for our daughter & friend. Great view of the ocean and saw whales breaching. Would definitely stay here again.

WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION

We loved everything about this property. The location and views of whales from the porch EVERY DAY was surreal. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the porch every morning and wish we never had to leave. All the cooking supplies and beach supplies were great. We really enjoyed the free mai tais by the pool on Thursday evening as well. The little strip across the street from the property had the grocery store with everything we needed. And the restaurants there were great as well. The pizza we got from Pizza Paradiso was delicious and the food truck court right there was just an added bonus.

Great location- unobstructed sweeping view of the ocean!

We enjoyed our stay! The keyless entry system is wonderful - our teenage daughters could come and go as they pleased without having to worry about a key. Everything as described. Little notes by the outlets/ceiling fan switches/inside kitchen cabinets were very helpful. Resort is great! 2 pools, tons of gas grills (we used them often!), can walk right next door if you want a sand beach. Stort drive to Front Street. Owners left many suggestions (dining, shopping, etc) and we used almost every one and all were great. We use VRBO alot, and this was one of our best stays!

Problem in bathroom shower

Everything was ok except for the bathroom shower. The drain was very, very, slow. The drain needs some major work. There was only one bathroom in this unit.

Amazing view

This unit was awesome!! Fully stocked with everything you need!! Super clean upgraded and roomy enough for 4 adults. Loved it!! The view was amazing and we saw whales and sea turtles almost every day. Any grocery shopping or bites to eat are within walking distance. The resort itself is nice and clean with BBQ's a pool, shuffleboard etc. The only downside which really isn't a big deal is that you really do have to be super quiet by 10pm and this is strongly enforced. Otherwise we had a great time and I am so thankful we found such a wonderful place to stay.

We’re so happy you enjoyed staying at our condo and really appreciate your feedback! The Papakea Resort is such a beautiful and well maintained property. The layout allows for every unit to have a lanai that opens out to a view of either the ocean, pools or gardens or some combination of these. Many guests keep windows open to enjoy the fabulous trade winds and sounds of the surf, so we love the fact that Papakea has “quiet hours” between 10 pm and 7am. This way no one is disturbed during their restful night. Thanks again for your review and hope to have you stay again in the future.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the spectacular oceanfront view—watching the sunset from our lanai was breathtaking, and the whale watching was simply unforgettable.The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the beach and within minutes of some of the best snorkeling spots in Maui, including Black Rock and the stunning northern bays of Napili and Kapalua. The property itself was immaculately maintained, and the condo was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.We also loved how conveniently located Papakea is—just a short walk to a grocery store, great restaurants, and shopping at Whalers Village. Speaking of food, we highly recommend Miss Arepa (our favorite!) and L&L Barbecue for delicious, local flavors.If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and perfectly located condo with unbeatable ocean views, this is it! AMAZING Experience!

We stayed for10 days. The condo was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and perfectly located. Your balcony is directly on the ocean, with AMAZING Views. We saw rainbows, whales and unforgettable sunsets right off the balcony. The resort property is very well maintained. The host pays attention to all of the little details, and the place is well stocked with anything you would need. We would definitely love to come back!

Can't beat the view!

This isn't the first time we've stayed at Mimi's place, and it definitely won't be the last! Mimi is absolutely amazing, so nice, and communicates everything perfectly, and to top it off, her place is perfect for family and/or friends. You cannot beat the seriously ocean-front view that showcases the sunset every night and is the perfect location on Maui. Don't wait on booking!

We enjoyed the property as it was centrally located to where we wanted to be. Having breakfast on the lanai offered a very nice view of Molokai. The proximity to the grocery store was nice as was the proximity to a few restaurants. The pool area was clean and having access to propane grills was a nice feature.

Balcony with the view

The view is incredible. Let's put it this way...people that pay for sunset cruises...go for a ride on a boat that provides the same view as the one from this balcony. Mimi (owner) was very good with communication and providing any and all info that you need prior to arrival.

A must in Maui

Wow. Mimi made this stay unlike any other. Her communication was flawless and to top it off, she was so sweet to chat with. The condo is in a great spot, easy to access all things Maui. Great amenities at Papakea - we enjoyed the pool and some snorkeling right outside our door. Even a turtle came by during high tide one afternoon! The property is enforcing travelers to show proof of negative COVID tests to use their amenities (as of 4/21) which gave us peace of mind. Beautiful and breathtaking sunsets on the lanai - and powerful trade wind breezes that kept the place cool. This was the perfect space for two couples like us, and it would also work well for a family! Mimi has small touches & pointers all over the condo to make your stay feel like home. We can’t wait to go back!

Ocean front was amazing! Papakea resort is great! Next time we may try for beach front tho!

Besides the few lil mishaps as the landline phone not working during duration of stay (in case of emergency) and closet door being taken off, laid against the wall in bedroom and not put back on. The pool and hot tub closed at 9, even on weekends- which seemed too early! Even 1 more hour would of been nice. Overall, it was amazing! 2nd time staying at Papakea. We loved ocean front, nothing beats drinking coffee watching for whales, doing your makeup or watching the sunset from your own lanai. Mahalo!

Hi Gina, I'm so sorry to hear about the landline and closet door issues. I was unaware of both and will follow up right away with maintenance. The shortened hours at the hot tub are related to COVID and balancing guests needs with available staff. The property really took a hit this past year and are not quite back to full staffing. Annual Maui Trip

Communication with the owner was easy. The condo was clean and was as described. There was plenty of towels including beach towels, TP, trash bags, and dish detergent (no laundry soap). The unit has several small coolers, boogie boards, and some other beach toys available. The unit F407 is beach front and is located on the 4th floor which has a great view and is great for watching the whales. We really enjoyed the unit and thank the owner for the accommodations and would highly recommend this unit. I would also like to say that the newer windows and sliding door & screen were really nice especially after staying in some of the other units with the older windows & doors. Good job!

Maui

Our condo was a wonderful ocean front view. Allowing us to sit on the lanai and whale watch with a front row view. The condo and complex was very nice, clean and modern. We have stayed at much larger resorts and we prefer the slower pace.

Whales, whales, whales!

Mahalo Mimi and Jim for a wonderful stay at Papakea! Papakea is quiet, beautifully landscaped, secure, has ample parking, luggage carts on ground floor, and is well maintained. All of the staff and more permanent residents we encountered were friendly and welcoming. It was great to have two never-crowded pools (one heated) and two hot tubs, the koi ponds to visit, the Colony Cats, shuffle board, a daily scheduled resort activity and proximity to a few shops. The view from this unit is outstanding. The ocean and Molokai backdrop were a pleasure while cooking or relaxing on the lanai. Whale activity was near constant during our week - fantastic excitement to see them from this vantage point! The unit was clean and tidy upon our arrival. Owner's notes found around the condo were helpful and appreciated! The kitchen was nicely stocked with cooking utensils and cookware (we ate all of our meals at "home"). All appliances in great shape/working order. The vaulted ceiling gave a sense of spaciousness to the unit and reminded us of the coziness of a ski chalet with large dark beams. We had no need for air conditioning during our stay. Beds were comfortable other than the sofa sleeper upstairs (the only thing on our "con" list for this unit). We used the living room sofa sleeper instead which was adequate for our needs. Rainbows can be taken for granted at this location which was magical combined with ocean and whales. We will remember our stay fondly!

I fell in love with Maui on my first visit in 1989. Jim and I were married on the grounds of the Papakea in 1997. In 2002, we had the opportunity to purchase this oceanfront, top floor unit that looks down on the exact spot we tied the knot! The Papakea has always been very special to us and we love sharing it with family, friends, and fellow travelers who want to enjoy a slice of paradise, if only for a while!

The Papakea is on the west side of the island right on the West Maui Channel where the humpback whales make their annual migration. Our lanai is a front row seat to all the action! The islands of Lanai and Molokai, across the channel, offer stunning views in the daytime and gorgeous sunsets every night. And, with the West Maui mountains directly behind the Papakea, we always have wonderful breezes and frequent rainbows, after brief afternoon showers. It's enchanting!

The Papakea offers all the amenities you'd expect at a resort but maintains a relaxed and authentic Hawaiian feel where guests can feel at home. We LOVE using the grills and enjoying a sunset dinner from our own lanai! Although Papakea has it's own beach area, it's also conveniently located to famous beaches such as Kapalua Bay, Napili Bay, and Dig-Me Beach. Everything you need is close by...shopping, dining, golf, excursions, you name it!
