While we do not enjoy receiving a 3 star review they are a part of the business. Guests should take all reviews into consideration. As an example our next guest believed we were worthy of a 5 star review. My wife and I manage the unit and we were the ones who took care of and corrected your concerns in an expeditious manner. You had mentioned that the microwave was not operating, but you forgot to mention that we replaced it with a new microwave immediately once we learned this information. I thank you for alerting us, as we cannot take care of issues unless we know about them. The vent fan could have been corrected if it was a problem, had we been informed when we were on the property or later during your stay, with a quick note. Regarding price, VRBO pricing does change based on availability and location. You elected to stay in a unit that has a view, which does normally cost more than a unit without a view. At Bogue Shores each unit is individually owned and operated, and not many units are available for rent. The units available which are available for rent mostly do not have a view, so this may explain the price disparity as well as the dates chosen by the traveler, which happened to be one of the most popular weekends of the year. Based on market conditions and price points of other properties in the area the pricing was appropriate. Returning guests who have received good reviews are eligible for future discounts. We also manage other properties on the beach, so for future reservations this would also be an opportunity for past guests to stay in another of our properties at a reduced rate.
