This was a perfect place for my family! We moved to silver city and our house was not yet ready. We were able to stay here for about 2 and a half months! The hosts were fantastic and the house is in such a beautiful area. We are going to miss the quiet and the land. It was better than we imagined when looking for a short term rental.

Lovely desert get away.

The space is cozy and clean. Enjoyed waking up to amazing stars and the sound of crickets at night. Scott and Denise were great hosts!

Amazing

Really enjoyed staying at Round Mountain Retreat. The views of the wildlife are incredible, and easy access to the Gila and other walking trails were awesome. Very quiet and peaceful, and the stars were plentiful. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Scott was a wonderful host and made us feel most welcome! He delivered our forwarded mail and helped us with the management of our TV on a couple of occasions. We enjoyed chatting with him too. And yet he made sure we had a sense of privacy. Our accommodations were clean comfortable and fully supplied. Although we had no pets we enjoyed the local wildlife...rabbits and deer.

A place with a view...a place to sun but also a place to enjoy sunsets.

One of the best VRBO

One of the most relaxing stays we have had in years. The home has everything you would need for short or long stay. The home was very clean and as advertised. Scott is welcoming and friendly while giving you your space. He responds to any request within moments. An added bonus are the many hiking trails just outside your front door. Location, location, location! Silver City is the best kept secret in New Mexico, and this mobile home exceeded our expectations. The hosts (Scott and Denise) were amazingly helpful and responded quickly to any questions or queries we put before them. The floor plan of the mobile home was perfect for our needs (our daughter slept on one end while we slept on the other), and there was even a fenced yard (with a dog door) for our two small dogs. The views from the porch were tranquil and inspiring.The house is equipped with a grill and all the items needed for cooking and activities of daily living. (We ran out of propane in the middle of one grill session, and Scott replaced it within minutes.)The home backs up against some wonderfully private trails that we traversed daily. If you stay in Silver City, take time to see a few of the focal points such as the mineral springs, cliff dwellings, Lake Roberts, and the catwalk. (We witnessed deer, cows, Gilas, and even javelinas.)If you're in doubt about renting this place, don't be. We loved our stay.

Thanks to Scott and Denise for a wonderful stay!

I stayed at the Round Mountain retreat for seven weeks while I got to know Silver City and the surrounding area, and by the end of the visit I had decided to move here! The property is adjacent to public lands that you can hike on for anything from a half-mile loop to the top of a hill to see the sunset to a multi-loop hike up into the Gila National Forest that could take a full day. Being able to sit on the deck and watch the sunset in the middle of winter was a real treat. Indoors is cozy with a wood stove and soaking tub that made the winter days more pleasant. Scott and Denise were kind enough to let me stay with my cats, and I brought blankets to put over the lovely leather couches to make sure the kitties didn't damage them. I'd highly recommend their place for folks looking to enjoy a long stay in a lovely setting and a fun little town.

We love the Round Mountain Retreat!

If this place is available, you should look no further and book it! Scott and Denise went above and beyond as hosts. We appreciated their warm hospitality and local knowledge in recommending everything from great hikes to a good auto repair shop. They were always very prompt to reply and had great communication. The home itself is lovely and comfortable; we felt quite at home for the month we spent there. Evenings on the deck surrounded by natural beauty and peaceful quiet were priceless. The house is surrounded by national forest, and offers endless hiking opportunities right out the front door. We absolutely loved our stay here in every way and look forward to returning again soon.
