Verbesserungswürdig: Lage
The cottage is very old and smells old... But nevertheless cosy and warm (besides the baywindow room) and contains a véry comfortable kingsize bed. Views are great. Cottage is not suitable for cyclists. No storage for the (e)bikes. And our car (Peugeot Rifter) was too high and did not fit in the garage!! No mobile network but wifi was ok! Kitchen has everything you need. Do visit Whitby and walk the Cleveland Way to Rigby ánd drive over the North York Moors! We have had a wunderful week!!

A unique place to stay, right at the quay of Staithes harbour, with amazing views. Just to sit there, watch the tide go in and out and the gulls sweeping through the air (and hearing them too!) is enough to completely relax. Garth End Cottage is a real home with the charm of days gone by, though there are all the modern appliances one could wish for. I had a wonderful time.

Lovely cottage over looking the harbour so peaceful just sitting in the cottage looking out to sea clean and well equipped very comfortable beds very good host and responsive to any questions over all very nice and relaxing holiday

The property is lovely - we spent hours and hours watching the tide come in and out and the seagulls playing on the water and wheeling around! The kitchen is really well equipped everything you need to cook. We ate at the Cod and Lobster one night as everyone has recommended it but sadly the fish and chips we really disappointing with hard chewy chips! The town is very higgledy piggedly with a great museum run by volunteers well worth a visit . All in all a lovely place to stay and highly recommended!

A really beautiful place to stay in Staithes - the views from the 'cabin' and the bedroom are absolutely stunning. There are deck chairs available to use outside too which was lovely! As others have said, the house has some spots that could do with some tlc, but it was a wonderful place to stay for a peaceful holiday - I'm not sure many places in Staithes could beat those views. Lying in bed hearing and watching the sea was really magical. The house is down a small alley and so very quiet, but still super close to the lovely cafes and pubs. Hilary was very quick to respond. The parking spot in the garage was super useful as parking can otherwise be tricky! We loved our stay here and hope to be back!

Family holiday with fantastic views

We really enjoyed our stay here! Great price for a great property. The views of the harbour were wonderful and the location itself was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were super comfy and the dishwasher came in very handy :) we would definitely stay here again, thanks so much!

wonderful stay

We stayed in Garth End cottage for 3 days and didn't want to leave. The cottage is a little gem and the village lovely. We will definitely return; what a relaxing time we had!

The cottage was quirky and perfectly located in the village for us to enjoy the view, go to the beach, go crabbing, walking, relaxing, and just enjoying ourselves!!We didn't want to leave.
