The house in itself is wonderful. There were numerous concerns and miscommunication issues related to property management. Communication with the property manager, house cleaning expectation vs delivery, night security, beach grasses and glass, are discussed below.
Communication and expectations were poor. Trying to sell a second insurance policy for damages days before the rental, asking for catamaran info and provided fishing expedition info, car rental assistance, are but a few areas of concern.
House keeping did not comply with agreement during check in, toilet paper was sparse, and security was appalling.
Security guard was on site for 3 nites (in red truck in courtyard) then we found out he was hiding in the storage shed for 4 nights. Scared the crap out of us when some has been creeping on you for hours without your knowledge. He (security) stated the last person got so scared they fell into the pool when he peered out of the shed. Seriously messed up security system or a peeping Tom, your call.
Beach area is grassy, except when they rack it on Saturday. Walking the beach one day I picked up 8 pieces of sharp glass walking from the house to GW resort and back. I would think this is a lot and with all the sea grass it’s sketchy.
As for the experience-our family had a great time! Get a check list to communicate the in process procedure and align expectations with your guests. As for security, fix the problem with having someone coming out of a dark shed at 11pm.
