Amazing location, wonderful stay!

This lovely flat is in a very convenient location, with trams and subway right outside the door. The Milano Centrale train station is a short tram or metro ride away, or walkable in about 20 minutes. The flat is very clean and comfortable, and the hosts had even left some yogurts and drinks in the fridge for us, which was a very welcome surprise. We were very grateful for the tiny elevator, which we quickly got used to. Nicola had given us several restaurant recommendations, and we had dinner at Da Oscar (right around the corner) which was excellent. It was great to have a small convenience store right downstairs, which also sold wine and spirits. The streets outside are busy and loud, but with the windows closed, it’s fairly quiet. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the world go by! Many thanks to Maria Theresa and Nicola for providing such great hospitality and adding so much to our lovely experience in Milano!

Great Stay!

Maria Teresa & Marco are fabulous hosts! They went above and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable-they even did laundry for us since the washer had broken right before we checked in AND found us a tailor when we need some mending! They thoughtfully stocked everything we might need during our stay. The apartment is located in a very nice area and close to the subway. We had a very comfortable stay and we'll definitely stay here on our next visit.

You have good taste if…

Conveniently located amd spotlessly clean property

This flat is ideal for a city break- it is on a very busy shopping street and right above Porta Venezia metro station (25-30 mins from Linate airport). Despite being in a very busy and bustling urban area the flat is very quiet and well soundproofed. It is very compact so ideal for 3-4 people. It is spotlessly clean and everything is pristine. Space is used well and the appartment has everything one needs and more- the hosts have gone to so much thought to supply everything from umbrellas, toiletries (including make up remover!) and more. The kitchen is well supplied with pots snd pans shoukd you wish to cook. There are fantastic places to eat just round the corner so we made good use of them all.The hosts Maria Theresa and her husband Nicola however are exceptional- would give them more than the five stars allowed! From communucation to givingvus excellent recommendations of places to visit, where to eat and numerous other tips (Nicola was kind enough to even call Monza to find out if tours were available as tickets on the website were showing as sold out) which enabled us to have a wonderful stay. Thank you so much both of you.

Wonderful Stay in Milan

The host was very friendly, communitive, and very helpful during our stay. Everything was as advertised and expected and we made use of the espresso machine and washing machine. Fabulous location and host!

We had an incredible stay! The host Maria Teresa was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable. The location was perfect, offering easy access to all the local attractions and there was an elevator. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place in Milan. I would be remiss not to mention that the apartment is best for 2 people but worked for 4 of us. The 2nd bathroom is only a toilet and sink, no shower. However we would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was an incredible human being and we can’t thank her enough.

Great Milan apartment!

The owner of the apartment is a wonderful ambassador for Milan. She provided great suggestions for our stay. The tram and subway are right out the front door so it is easy to navigate the city’s major attractions, Central rail station, etc. The spacious apartment is totally renovated, very clean, and comfortable. A wonderful experience!

We had an excellent 4 night stay at Maria’s apartment. Everything was wonderful. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and modern with air conditioning and sound proof windows. It was perfectly located to walk to the trains/trams and local restaurants. Maria was lovely, she went above and beyond, meeting us when we arrived (and departed!), helping with our luggage and sharing her tips for the city. This was the first stay of our two week trip. It was wonderful to start off with such a awesome host! Maria was very helpful and went the extra mile. She provided all the extras you would need. She even translated some letters for us. We would only suggest saying it is above the Victoria Secret store. That would have been helpful locating it. Great location and a fantastic host

We were visiting Milan for a few days and decided to stay at Maria’s VRBO. Best decision as it was close to all transportation, shopping, easy walks to the center of town and the apt and Maria were both great. Having a washing machine was helpful as well. Would definitely come back. Only thing to note that it’s truly a one bedroom with a really nice sofa bed in a larger living room. We didn’t mind that as it was just the two of us.

Always a pleasure

If you are in Milan this apartment is definitely a must stay. Maria Teresa greets you with a warm smile and welcomes you to her apartment. The building has a lift which is an added bonus. It is impeccable and she always provides snacks, yogurts, crackers, and coffee. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location is perfect and close to the Duomo and the fashion district. If you come to Milan, this is the place to stay.

Wonderful Stay

Maria Theresa and her husband were delightful hosts. Suffice it to say that all of the accolades mentioned in the reviews over the past several years remain well-deserved. I highly recommend this accommodation and am looking forward to my next visit. I think this property is particularly well-suited for first time visitors to Milan given its strategic location, access to multiple transportation nodes, wealth of amenities in the immediate area and Maria Theresa's expert guidance. Also, for those who may be sensitive to cigarette smoke, I am glad to report that I had no issues even though technically smoking is permitted on the balconies. You really can't go wrong staying here.

Perfect place excellent host

Best experience in Milan

Our trip to Milan was an amazing adventure and we have Maria Teresa to thank. The location was phenomenal and everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. On arrival Maria Teresa greeted us and made us feel at home. She offered personal recommendations on restaurants and activities through all parts of Milan. Everything she suggested was amazing. She provided a binder with helpful information. She checked in and made reservations for us which made the visit easier. Her home is beautiful and our family of 4 adults enjoyed it. She showed us all the workings of the modern home and made herself available for questions. Her appreciation for her home and city is evident in the talks we shared. She made us feel like part of her family. The neighborhood was wonderful and felt very safe at all times. This is a MUST if you plan to stay in Milan. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing host, perfect apartment

The property is in a fantastic area, easy walk to Duomo and so well located for transport links. Metro, buses and trams literally outside the door. Train station within a short walk/tram/metro make taking a day trip further afield a breeze. Maria Theresa is the perfect host. She was waiting at the apartment to greet us and went through how everything in the apartment worked. All the little things you need for your stay are provided. She has also taken the time to provide a folder with recommendations of where to visit and good local restaurants, her folder has actual restaurant menus in it! Because this is an area for locals every amenity is available; supermarkets, bars and good restaurant's. Maria Theresa turned up at a mutually convenient time for check out she even showed me where to get the tram to the train station, waited with me, made sure I got on the correct one and even lifted my bag onto the tram. Honestly you couldn’t expect anymore from the host or the apartment. If I find myself in Milan again I would definitely stay here and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Beautiful apartment, EXCELLENT location!

My friend and I enjoyed our girls trip to Milan tremendously! Maria Teresa is the most gracious and friendly host, and the apartment is absolutely gorgeous and well appointed with all of the modem conveniences. It was also plenty of room for the two of us and is easily large enough to accommodate several more people comfortably. The apartment is a reasonable distance (30-40 min) from the airport and easily accessible by bus and subway. Maria Teresa provided fabulous directions and recommendations to all of the local attractions and restaurants. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We felt very safe in our surroundings and loved the fact that we felt comfortable walking, shopping and dining late into the night. Milan is a beautiful city with warm, friendly people and delicious food. We hope to return soon and will definitely arrange to stay here! Until then, Ciao!

Best VRBO experience ever

The best thing about this rental experience was the host- who communicated in a timely, organized and helpful way all through the process from booking to check out. The location in Milan could not be more convenient- literally steps from building entry to metro station. The building has interesting quirks like the smallest cabinet size elevator that barely fit two people (surprising quick to the top floor)- the view for the balcony puts you right into the city, and with good Italian shutters/ mosquito screen/ soundproof windows you can barely hear any city traffic. The apartment is super clean and modern. Kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms were all well equipped ( host thought of all the ammenities!) We met at the building for check in and benefitted from all the long standing local knowledge and patient introduction and tips from our host. She even have a organized binder of sights, restaurants, locations of interest and other helpful resources and how to recycle etc in it. Instructions for operating any of the appliances were also clearly organized. Check out was also super easy. All in all this has to be the best VRBO or vacation rental we have experienced. highly recommend this property and our most gracious host.

Clean!!! Great location. Quiet. Well equipped

We have stayed in many rental apartments and I have never been in a cleaner place. Everything was so clean it looked brand new. Glasses pots and pans bathroom tile etc It is in a great location and convenient to everything. Lots of restaurants near by and easy walk to train station. The restaurants Maria Teresa recommended were amazing. The pastas at Platino(?) were amazing The apartment is extremely well equipped with espresso machine toaster and microwave etc. she had kindly left plenty of coffee pods, cold cereal milk and yogurt for our breakfast. She even has shampoo and conditioner for us I was a little worried about the noise because it is on a major (convenient )!street. But with closing the metal shutters at night you can't hear ANY noise and the shutters block out the morning sun light. After a long flight it made for a great night sleep I highly recommend the apartment and would gladly stay again

Stylish urban accommodation with a warm, welcoming host

We had a terrific stay at Maria Teresa's beautiful Porta Venezia apartment. Located in an old building right in the city center, this is a small, beautifully renovated apartment with high-end finishes throughout (no IKEA!) and is meticulously, lovingly maintained by its owner. The fifth floor apartment has a wonderful city feel (and thankfully a working elevator). With two terraces that open directly onto Corso Buenos Aires, a major street filled with shops, pedestrians, cars, a tram and a Metro station, you are right in the middle of it all, but thanks to noise-cancelling, room darkening shutters and quality windows and doors throughout, it becomes a quiet respite in the evening or whenever you need a break from Milan's urban hustle. The location is so convenient. We walked to the Duomo, Galleria, fashion district, etc. and took the metro (station entrance is literally outside the building's front door) and tram (a 3 minute walk away) to visit other parts of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and charming places to take an apertivo within a block or two. Maria Teresa is a special host, and she's thought of everything to make a guest's stay comfortable and convenient - with easy (and easy-to-find) practical instructions, tips and recommendations, as well as fresh snacks, coffee, tea, fresh milk, fruit and more. (Even nail polish remover!) She was completely accommodating and helpful, she clearly knows and loves both apartment and the city just outside its door, and she welcomed us like family during our stay. Of note - if you are using both bedrooms you won't have a separate living space beyond the small kitchen table, and the 2nd bathroom is just a toilet, not a full bathroom (but you likely won't use it - the main bathroom is absolutely gorgeous!). Highly recommended in every way and would love to return again.

When I travel I love to compare my culture with that one of the country where I go; I try to identify myself as much as possible with local people. I explore more and more, walking, talking, eating, and attending also hidden locations and attractions, not necessarily described in the tourist guides. I like the idea of staying in a comfortable, clean, well equipped flat, that makes me relax after a busy day and that gets me move easily at night if I want to go out. My flat allows all this in Milan; that’s the reason why I decided to rent it and to make myself available to my guests. I love cooking and trying new dishes to share with friends.

Just walk outside of the main entrance and enter the underground Porta Venezia Station that will take you to the cathedral in 5 minutes if you do not want to walk.
