Great place

We loved the house. It was great for our family with adult children and friends. Loved having individual bathrooms. Loved the garden inside. We had a huge rainstorm while we were there and the water coming in was taken care of immediately!

Family Vacation

We were very pleased with the house and property. There were 9 of us, including 3 children. The kids really enjoyed the indoor pool. The prorietor stayed next door in an apartment and was always available for any needs. Azoia is a small quiet village. There were good restaurants wthin walking distance, but you will need to drive about 20 minutes for groceries. There are views of the sea from the yard. I highly recommend.

Beautifully furnished property in an outstanding location

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house, full of character and charm, with plenty of space to relax. Giampiero was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The location of the property is in a stunning area, with lots of viewpoints over the coastline, magnificent sunsets, beaches to suit all tastes and the famous Cabo de Roca just a stone’s throw away. There are several very good restaurants/cafes within a 5 minute walk from the house which was an added bonus. Day trips to Sintra, Lisbon and Cascais are also highly recommended.

Wonderful Azoia House To Be Remembered

We stayed in this house for 2 months. We had 4 groups of family and friends come separately. Everyone loved the house as it offers privacy and also warmth for appreciating a truly distinctive home. If you rent this home, you will always remember: the space, the furniture, the paintings, the window/wall coverings and the very pleasant and gentle owner. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property for everyone.

The host was very easy to work with and was available if I had questions or needed anything. The house is as it is shown. Couldn’t use the pool because the water was too cold. I loved being able to walk down to the village and get the items that I needed. Enjoyed my stay in Portugal.

We stayed here for two weeks in mid July. Giampiaro is a charming and gracious host. He lives on the property so readily accessible, if needed however is otherwise almost never seen. The spacious and bright house is a charming mix of antiques & art. We travelled with our two adult children, their partners and a 17 month old grandson. We appreciated the large guest rooms with private bathrooms and patios. Everyone could find their own space, when needed. This is a tranquil setting overlooking the coast. The gardens and the enclosed pool were appreciated and enjoyed. The village of Azoia is a short walk away with a cafe, wine bar and several restaurants. We had use of a car. It was handy to explore nearby villages or for groceries in Cascais. We would not recommend drivint into Sintra or Lisbon. It would be too stressful, use a service. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing family vacation. We highly recommend Giampiaro's home.

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir waren im August da und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus wird beherrscht von dem Innenhof, der nach allen Seiten geöffnet werden kann, so dass man im Wohnzimmer und gleichzeitig quasi im Grünen sitzen kann. Die 4 Zimmer haben alle ein En-Suite-Bad. Vom Wintergarten kann man das Meer sehen, allerdings nur sehr entfernt. Gleichwohl bietet sich der Wintergarten an für gemütliche Stunden mit einem Buch oder zum Spielen. Die Küche ist absolut perfekt ausgestattet. Das Schwimmbad ist überdacht und kann verschlossen werden, was angesichts des Klimas (s.u.) ein Vorteil ist. Der Vermieter wohnt auch auf dem Gelände, ist aber sehr diskret. Dabei ist er äußerst charmant und überaus hilfsbereit. Azoia liegt 2 km vom Cabo da Roca entfernt, dem westlichsten Punkt des europäischen Festlands. Der kleine Ort hat mehrere Restaurants, die eine wirklich gute Qualität anbieten und die vom Haus fußläufig zu erreichen sind. Die Temperaturen waren nicht zu heiß (24 - 27°), manchmal war es allerdings auch abends neblig und an 2 Tagen stürmisch, aber nicht kalt. Gleichwohl schätzt man den Indoor-Pool dann umso mehr. Die Strände der Westküste kann man schon in 10 - 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichen, Sintra ist etwa 20 km entfernt, Cascais ist nicht ganz so weit. Nach Lissabon benötigt man über die Autobahn etwa 40 Minuten. Man kann aber auch den Zug von Cascais aus nehmen. Die Unterkunft eignet sich somit besonders gut, wenn man viel unternehmen und trotzdem auch mal seine Ruhe haben will.

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la villa de Giampierro, très disponible et agréable. La maison est très spacieuse, parfaite pour une grande famille. Les enfants ont profité chaque jour de la piscine malgré la température un peu basse ! Le climat sur la période n'a pas été favorable (brume, vent) mais heureusement il suffisait de descendre un peu en altitude et le soleil était de retour ! Merci encore à Giampierro pour son accueil.

Excellent séjour dans une très belle maison

Ma famille et moi( 6 adultes et un bébé) avons passé une semaine au mois d'Août dans la très spacieuse maison de Giampiero. Les quatre chambres très grandes ayant chacune leur salle de bain ,sont très pratiques. La piscine est très grande bien qu'un peu fraîche. La véranda vraiment très agréable avec une superbe vue. Maison avec une cuisine très bien équipée. Giampiero est un hôte très agréable et serviable et très discret malgré le fait qu'il habite à côté . Nous recommandons fortement la maison de Giampiero pour passer de bonnes vacances. Merci beaucoup Giampiero.

Fantastic villa

We could not have had a more helpful & friendly host in Giampiero. The Villa is a very good size with large bedrooms and a huge lounge. The sun room is lovely & the pool is very nice but it did have a few cobwebs. Fantastic scenery around the area& easy access to Sintra, Cascais & Lisbon with a bus just passing by the door. All day on & off travel cost €11:90 per person. Weather in August is very changeable sometimes with low clouds. Can recommend this place.

Amazing stay in Azoia!

Wow! What a wonderful stay! This was the perfect location for a family gathering. My wife and I, along with our children and their boy/girl friends (7 total) stayed a week at this incredible property. Let me start by saying that Giampiero is the most warm and accomodating host. He greeeted us when we arrived, made sure that all our needs were immediately addressed during our stay, and was there to see us off when we left. He truly treated us like family. The property itself was fantastic. There was plenty of room for the seven of us to have privacy when we wanted but also to congregate at the large dining, kitchen or outdoor tables for meals. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. The sun terrace was especially popular for a relaxing read or conversation in the morning or late afternoon. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance and it is only a short drive to spectacular views. The location is very centrally located with beaches, Lisbon and Sintra all being easy rides. Highly recommend this property whether you are looking to relax or just want a centrally located property to visit beautiful Portugal.

Une introduction au Portugal idyllique

Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié l'espace de cette maison, c'est un vrai luxe de pouvoir séjourner dans un tel espace. Les chambres sont spacieuses, les salons très confortables, le jardin et différentes terrasses une vraie bouffée d'oxygène. Notre seul regret a été de ne pas avoir une piscine chauffée pour pouvoir en profiter car nous avions assumé qu'en étant intérieur nous pourrions nous baigner! Giampiero est un hôte extrémement disponible, discret et plein d'attentions (merci pour le pdj le premier jour). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

Perfect for us

We were a family of 7 staying at the property and we just loved it so much. It’s truly a unique and wonderful home. It allowed us plenty of options to hang out together for meals or games or tv etc. But also so much space to rest and recharge away from the group. The atrium is marvellous and will even make a rainstorm wonderful. We didn’t avail of the pool as it was chilly during our stay. Since the weather didn’t cooperate, we did need to use the space heaters and extra blankets and were happy they were available. The kitchen is well equipped and Giampiero provided a few food/drink necessities that were soooo appreciated upon arriving after a very long day of travel. I would note that part of the house’s charm and character is that several areas are bi-level with stairs, which would require a little more vigilance from the older folks (and parents minding little ones). Also, the house is full of wonderful antiques (if you’ve children who enjoy roughhousing, you may rethink this one 😉) We definitely needed a car. But a tiny, surprisingly well stocked mini market is within walking distance - as are a couple of restaurants (3Gomes is fab). But all the area has to offer is within 20-35 min striking distance by car. Sintra, Caiscais, Lisbon etc. So overall, the property and Giampiero truly enhanced our visit to the area 1000%. The house is beautiful, fun and quirky - and we just loved it. I would go back and stay here again in a heartbeat. Many, many thanks, Giampiero!

Spacious house in good location

This was a well equipped house for entertaining and had a large spacious lounge and sun room. It is quite windy there which would be good when the hot weather arrives. Plenty of firewood provided for the open fire in the lounge for chillier evenings. There are sheltered spots in the garden out of the wind. You can walk in to the village in just a few minutes and it is a 30 minute walk to Cabo de Roca. 20 mins drive into either cascais or sintra and we walked through the forest into sintra ( 9.5 miles and about 4.5 hours) . Lovely shaded walk although steep in places. Highly recommend the fish restaurant at the beach at Adraga which you can walk to ( 3 mile's each way)

Spacieux

Très bon séjour à Azóia , dans la villa de Giampiero , qui habite juste à côté , mais que nous avons a peine vu car très discret . Mais il est là , pour répondre à toutes nos questions. La maison est très grande , avec une piscine couverte , un patio élégant avec un piano , 4 belles chambres avec leurs salles de bain.....bref , un espace où il fait bon vivre , à 15 minutes de Cascais, 40 min de Lisbonne, 2 km de Cabo da Roca, pour des couchés de soleil à couper le souffle. Un endroit magique et y a des restaurants et bzrs au village. Giampiero est très sympathique et parle plusieurs langues. Je recommande vivement ce lieu .

Super sejour a azoia

Nous avons passé un tres non sejour a azoia. Cette rehion est remplie de destination a ne pas manquer. La maison est au top, on me manque de rien de chez giampiero, au contraire il a ete d'une grande aide quand j'ai crevé le 1er jour. Il s'est déplacé avec nous chez le garagiste pour faiee réparer la roue. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine tous les jours. Les enfants ont adoré. Le seul petit bemol est le vent qui souffle très fort dans cette region. Nous n'avons meme pas pu profiter de l'extérieur de la maison avec ce vent.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé 4 semaines dans cette maison très agréable. Excellent accueil du propriétaire, toujours prompt à régler les petits problèmes. Le climat particulier est plus nuageux et quelques degrés moins chaud que Cascais ou Lisbonne, ce qui évite les trop fortes chaleurs. La maison elle-même est très spacieuse et bien équipée. L'emplacement permet un accès aisé à de nombreux endroits à visiter.

Toujours heureux d´avoir abouti à mon but, c´est à dire n´avoir aucune interférence dans la vie de mes locataires, mais être toujours présent lors d´un besoin subite pour la résolution d´un problème ou pour donner entière satisfaction à toute question posée. Un grand merci aux membres de cette famille nombreuse qui seront toujours les bienvenus chez moi dans ce petit coin du Portugal.
