In dieser fabelhaften Maisonette am Strand erwartet Sie luxuriöse Entspannung. Jede Seite dieses Strandhauses bietet Platz für 20 Personen und verfügt über 6 Schlafzimmer und 6 Bäder, darunter 2 Master-Suiten mit jeweils einer eigenen Whirlpool-Badewanne. Es gibt ein Kingsize-Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer, ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer und ein weiteres im Arbeitszimmer. Auf der zweiten Ebene gibt es Zimmer mit 1 Kingsize-Bett, einem weiteren Kingsize-Bett und einem Queensize-Bett. Auf der 3. Ebene haben wir Zimmer mit 2 Königinnen, zwei weiteren Königinnen und einem Doppelstockbett.

Das Haus hat 2 Kühlschränke (ja, das wären 4 Kühlschränke, wenn Sie auf beiden Seiten bleiben möchten: Sie können nie zu viel Platz im Kühlschrank haben!), mehrere Fernseher, DVD-Player, Kabel, Internet, Telefon mit kostenlosem Inlandsfernverkehr und jede Menge Balkone auf jeder Ebene.

Es gibt einen überdachten Außenpool, der auf beiden Seiten geteilt wird. Der Pool verfügt über eine Außendusche, mit der Sie Sand von Ihren bequemen Betten fernhalten können.

We had a wonderful stay at Wits End, East. There were 5 adults, four kids, and two dogs in our group. We had ample space with space to spare. We loved being right on the beach with our own gated walkover that included a rinse off shower and foot spray. If needed, we could make a quick trip back to the house in a few minutes. We have been spoiled for future beach trips. The house was clean and nicely appointed, with wonderful views of the ocean from the living room, the balconies, and a few of the bedrooms. The pool was an added benefit. We were there in early April, so we paid to have it heated, but the fee for that was very reasonable. We had no issues so we didn't need to communicate with the owners during our stay, but there was ample communication regarding check-in and check out, with recommendations for restaurants and other places of interest. Overall, a great stay.

Management was incredibly responsive! We let them know about a bed spring broken and they had new ones delivered the next day. Also, asked for the pool to be heated after our first day and they immediately got it done. Great place for families. Several child locks on doors, access to the beach and the pool access. I felt very comfortable with our kids there.

This beautiful home was on the beach, with a dock over the dunes, the big living room and master bedroom looking out over the gulf. The pictures of the home are exactly what we got, and we had such a great time! The kitchen is very big, and filled with all the things needed to cook meals. We didn't use the pool, but that was our choice, we just felt it was a little cold yet in February. Besides, I walked on the beach in the water every morning, afternoon, and everning. I appreciated the pet-friendly acceptance for our 5 pound pooch who also had the time of her life. The folks in the other half of the house were the nicest people. Everything went great. The host's emails before our trip were helpful so we knew what to bring, and what not to bring. There was an endless supply of sunshine, and even on windier days, I could sit on the deck,in the corner, in my swim suit, with a book, and glass of wine for hours. We already booked Wits End East for next year, but will stay two months instead of one. Thank you!

You also shared privately that the home was great, which we really appreciated. 🥳 Because of that, I was a bit disappointed to see the 3-star rating and wanted to clarify a couple of points for future guests so expectations stay accurate. The pool’s seasonal sun/shade pattern is actually a big perk during the hotter months, though in cooler seasons a shaded pool can feel a bit brisk. The good news is that Wits End is one of the rare Gulf Shores homes with a heatable pool — something many guests really value. 🙌 Pool heating is an optional add-on (as with almost all homes that offer it — it’s a spendy system to run in standalone houses), and it’s clearly explained in the listing, rental agreement, and pre-arrival messages. So we were a little surprised to see it noted as an “FYI.” We do ask guests to request it in advance so we can coordinate with the pool company; in your case, you asked during the stay, and we offered to have them come out, but you chose not to add the nightly surcharge. Regarding the cleaning comment — our team consistently earns excellent feedback, but if anything ever seems off, we’re always happy to address it immediately. We want every guest to feel fully supported. 👍 We’re glad you enjoyed the property overall and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Thanks again! 🙏

Very clean

We had a blast during our stay. The house was very clean and just the right size. We had 9 adults and 4 kids and we didn’t use one of the bedrooms. We all loved the walk way to the beach and of course the kids loved the pool (it was a little chili because it is covered). The 2 refrigerators were a plus. The only down side were all the stairs you have to climb.

🤗 Yay! Glad you "had a blast" and the house was super clean, and that you loved the walk way and EVERYTHING else except.... I am super bummed to lose a star for not liking that you have to traverse a lot of stairs. Unfortunately, all homes on the beach start a floor up, so you will always have that flight of stairs, and unless a home happens to be all one one floor (rare, but I have a couple like that!) then there will be 2-3 sets of them, one for each level, of course. And the duplex style homes, which are a super value, exacerbate this a bit because of how they are designed as two units side by side. Like any similar 'townhome" there will have those stairs that go straight up (not turns, no landings). That's pretty unavoidable. You could rent a home with an elevator (super rare and expensive, though i have some of those too) or go with a stand alone home--more expensive than equivalent duplexes, but... usually they have landings in the flights of stairs so not a straight shot up! Again glad you all had the best time in our home. Perhaps next time we find an all-on-one level home, or spurge for an elevator, if the steps of the most common homes are a bit much! Amazing place

It was absolutely amazing! We had all 14 members of my family there and we were completely comfortable! It was extremely easy to get to the beach and my husband who is disabled and is in a wheelchair (when needed) was able to get around.

Had a wonderful stay with our family, the bedrooms and view were amazing. Right on the beach as well. Well equipped with plates and dishes. My only complaint would be that we paid for the pool to be heated and it was not. It was supposed to be 85 degrees, but we felt it was not. While it did not bother the kids I have a special needs daughter which is why we paid to have it heated. The neighbors were kind and respectful. We would love to come back.

🥰🥰🥰 Yay! So happy to hear you had a wonderful stay at Wits End and that everything was amazing. I am sorry that you felt 85 was not warm enough for some of your crew. I know you checked the thermometer and it was reading 84-85, so we do know it was working, and in fact was warmer than normal as our spec is 82-84. 85 is actually quite warm for a pool, and these are pools not hot tubs... in fact, even Disney only holds their heatable pools at 82, so we were even 3 degrees warmer! And certainly much much better than the 70s it would have been without the heater on. 🥶 Since water that is below body temp will "take" heat from skin, it will almost always feel cold when folks get in (its just the physics of heat loss), and again I am sorry that this was not warm enough for your special needs child. Had this been brought up prior to, or during, the stay, we may have been better situated to address your situation or to moderate expectations. Again, really glad you had a wonderful time, and we'd be happy to have you back again anytime!

Great stay at Wits End

Beautiful, roomy house right on the beach!! WiFi was spotty…that's our only complaint.[Hi Dana! Thanks for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star review! Happy to hear everything was perfect for you! I am sorry to hear you had some sort of issue with the wifi. I wish you had reached out about that as I installed that, with a very nice multinode wifi mesh network, so it really is a solid network, with coverage throughout the home, unlike many where there is a single wifi access point. I would have been happy to trouble shoot. Also possible with the storms that mediacom had some outages, but those usually mean a complete loss of signal, though sometimes a quick modem and eero router reset can flush out sporadic ones! Anyway, next time if you have any issues, shoot the mgt co (Bama Beach Houses) or me a note/text/platform communication and we can take a look. Again, really glad you all had a fantastic time, and I would be happy to host you all again anytime! Ty! 🙏]

Loved it

The house was just great for us. Top assets were: Shaded pool in August and it worked all week, Very comfortable mattresses, Six bathrooms!, SHORT walk to the surf with half of it on that great boardwalk that made wagon runs so much easier, Two refrigerators, And finally, you actually had enough silverware, dishes, cookware and appliances for the large capacity of the house (that’s the first time that happened for us in years of vacation rentals). Re the management company, the contact I had with them was to compliment them on how clean the house was and how smooth check-in went, meaning the door code arrived in time, it worked, and the house was indeed ready. I called them to report a broken shelf rail in the refrigerator. They quickly offered to send someone to fix it but I carry duct tape and that held it for the week. They dropped off some tasty chocolates for the inconvenience, nice touch. So that's it. All good.

Wits End East

The house was as shown on the listing. The boardwalk to the beach was great. We had someone check to see if we needed anything and told them a broom and had one within the hour. I would highly recommend this house property .

Best Beach house in Gulf Shores

I just can’t say enough about this amazing beach house. We have stayed in Beach Houses for years and this is by far, the best one we’ve ever stayed in. We had a big family vacation that included ages 22 through 81. The house is set up perfectly with clean and comfortable rooms on every floor. The mattresses were soft and comfortable. There was a thermostat on each floor. The convenience of two refrigerators and a washer and dryer was Great. The accessibility of the beach was so amazing due to the wooden walkway and short distance to the ocean. It was never crowded in front of the beach house even in July. It was nice to have a pool on the ground floor near the parking area. The 6 bathrooms were convenient and clean and large enough for our big group. We had a great time relaxing by the ocean, cooking, playing games and watching movies. Our pups loved it too! The owners were easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. This was definitely a 10 out of a 10 experience!

Great Memorial Day trip!!

The property was perfect for our annual trip- 3 families with friends (15 total). The house was a cute classic beach vibe, clean, and we had enough room to park 5 cars and our boat on our side of the duplex. The boardwalk to the beach was AMAZING 👏👏👏 after many summers of having to drive/walk over the hot asphalt to get to beach access this was so convenient!! The hosts were very responsive and even proactive in checking in with us and making sure we had all of the info we needed regarding the city rules, renting chairs, etc. we had a blast and would 10/10 recommend this house ❤️

Amazing trip for the kids--hope to be back next year!

The trip was amazing we always enjoy brining the kids to gulf shores. The house was amazing the kids loved the board walk to the beach and the access. We couldn't have asked for a better week. The house was so nice, it accommodated all of our needs. Experience and house was amazing. Hopefully we can book again next year when we bring kids back for their trip.

My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf. Wits End is currently a great deal for its size. Why? Different management company for a long time, and then we took over just recently and have not (yet!) adjusted the pricing to match our other 6 BR units. Lots of updates last year, including the new beach walkover, and more updates planned over the winter 2019.

Right on the beach. Big. Great value. And a very cool new beach walkover, over the dunes, from the second floor. How cool is that??! Wits End was actually the first home we took several of our friends' and their families way back when the kids were in elementary school. In fact we went for shrimp festival, and it was a blast. My oldest caught a flounder, go figure!, with our family friend, and baseball coach, Paul. That was quite the sight flopping around. The fish, not our friend, or my son.... We couldn't make as many trips over the years, as the kids aged up and leaving school became harder, but Wits End always brings back fond memories of that great trip. Oh, and the shrimp, and beach, and more shrimp, and the little zoo that could, and more shrimp....
