Beautiful Condo

The condo and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and secure. There is a gate and security so only guest can enter. The lower pools were not functioning but we still used the upper pool. We could only imagine how lovely the property would be with the waterfalls. It was a wonderful stay and we could escape the craziness of 5th avenue once we entered the condo. We will definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful condo! We were 4 women celebrating a 40th birthday. The apartment was clean, cool, had great water pressure, and very comfortable beds. Very close to the downtown touristy area and the water, but also an easy walk to the quieter parts of town. The ocean was not swimmable due to the sargasso, but the pool was nice. The pool was the same temperature as the hot tub (very very warm) but I'm not sure if it was heated or if the sun just got it that toasty. Still, a lush and beautiful property and we would stay again! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Easy, breezy wonderful stay

Our stay at Porto Playa and Laura’s spot was exactly as pictured. Easy to check in, great communication with our hosts, the concierge service was wonderful for scheduling our Covid test prior to departure. The whole process was so smooth and made our vacation relaxing and pleasant. The spot was perfect and great location, close to everything but just far enough away from the noisy bars. Will absolutely rebook this spot for future trips!

Wonderful Stay!

Our family of four visited during Spring Break and had a wonderful time at the condo. The location was very convenient because it was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Our two teenagers loved the pool, the workout facility, and the local bakery next door. Every morning they worked out and went to the bakery for some of the best food we had during our stay. Our condo was also clean, and the amenities were top notch. We hope to back again someday.

Comfortable and beautiful stay

Porto Playa was a home away from home with modern and conventional amenities. I loved the natural elements in spaces especially the bathrooms. The location was incredible for walking the beach and exploring the best of Playa Del Carmen. It was nestled in a cute area with trees, tropical plants, passerbys, ocean breezes, and sounds of birds. The Gym was a great amenity that we used as well as the spa treatments. I even did my own daily yoga practice on the rooftop terrace! Gustavo and the crew were very helpful and friendly, and they let me see a couple of spaces so that I could choose the one I resonated with. I highly recommend staying here!

My husband, Terry, and I have been going to Playa del Carmen since 1993. We've been to beaches all over the world (Australia, France, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, etc) and Playa is my favorite beach town (I am a beach girl).

We fell in love early with Porto Playa Condo/Hotel because of the great design, beautiful landscaping, fabulous pools, and overall charm. It is the best location in Playa.

Porto Playa is located 1 block from the beach, 1 block from 5th Ave., has great pools and jacuzzis, lots of amenities with tropical gardens and use off our private beach club with restaurant. Porto Playa was awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. Featuring a tropical architectural influence with 21 luxury units, Porto Playa is set in an oasis reminiscent of a rain forest. It has a very airy and open design

You can walk north or south on the beach. There are numerous restaurants right on the beach and lots of places to get chairs, drinks, etc.

You don't need a car in Playa unless you want to take day-trips to Tulum or Chichen Itza. Everyone walks to restaurants, groceries, liquor, shops,, etc.

Fifth Avenue is about 3 miles long, is pedestrian only, and has open air restaurants and shopping. You can walk up and down and find a place you want to eat dinner or go shopping.

Featuring a tropical architectural influence with 21 luxury units, Porto Playa is set in an oasis reminiscent of a rain forest. It has a very airy and open design inside a private sanctuary with lush tropical plants and flowers and gushing waterfalls. There is even a sun-drenched roof-top swimming pool the length of a city block and a second pool with two separate Jacuzzis.

Our condo has high ceilings, zoned air conditioning, ceiling fans in every room, full-sized appliances and large kitchens stocked with cookware, blender, toaster, coffee maker - everything you'd want to make you feel like it's yours and not a hotel room.. We have noodles in the condo for your use in the Gulf and/or the pool.

Couple of tips:
You don't need a car in Playa You only need a car if you want to go off-site for something. Even zip-lining comes and picks you up.

Playa is very European - half the tourists are American, the other half are a mix from all over the world: South America, Asia and Europe. It's fun to walk 5th or be eating a meal and hearing all the different accents. Lots of different types of restaurants.

You can walk to Wal-Mart or Mega from our condo-(6 blocks). I know how that might sound, but they are great stores with fresh food. We typically walk over there the first day (in the morning before it gets too hot), and buy fresh fruit, wine and snacks. We then have breakfast on our balcony. Before dinner we open up a bottle of wine and have drinks and snacks on the balcony.
