The most Horrible Vacation Experience Ever...
I planned on this vacation to expend time with family at the Dominican Republic for the holidays. Fo started getting to the villa was a little challenging. The house is up in a very steep hill. Going up and down was scary. The road is very narrow and part of the roadway is two lanes. Two cars won’t fit side by side, and one car would have to drive into the very edge of the road onto the grass where there’s a cliff. I found myself praying every time we drove up or down. But that wasn’t the worst of all. First we notice there were a lot of flys and inserts specially around the dinning areas. After a couple of days of being there we realized the reason. The cleaning person would only clean the bedrooms and bathrooms and did a very poor job. The most disgusting she did was giving us used towels. By the third day I realize she wasn’t washing the towels just letting dry and giving them back to us as clean the next day. Then I realized the toilet paper wasn’t been replace. When I asked they told me we were only allow so much toilet paper and from there on, I would have to buy what we needed if we needed more. I was surprised. I had stay at other villas and I never had to buy toilet paper. But I went to the supper market and got 20 rolls pack of toilet paper. I proceeded to distribute the 20 rolls around all 5 bathrooms. The next day we went out for most of the day and when we came back all the toilet paper had disappear from all the bathrooms. When I ask the property manager about he said he didn’t know and he said he would ask the other house employees. But nobody new what had happened to the toilet paper and the only person who supposedly entered the bedrooms and baths was the cleaning person. I ask to see the cámara recording of that day, but they gave all this excuses of how only the owner of the villa had access to the recordings and how they had to contact her first and time passed by and it never happened. All house employees were very friendly and accommodating except for that cleaning person. After we left and got home and unpacked I noticed that I was missing a very expensive watch and a Gucci belt. I was already home and since I never heard about the missing toilet paper I imagine they would give me the same running around and as upset as I was about my watch and my belt I just wanted to put the whole horrible experience in the past. In a positive note, Lydia the cook was great. I would not recommend to anyone
