Best Beach Getaway Place in Monterey area

Great place

We had a great time here. The place is very nicely remodeled and extremely relaxing. The beds and furnature were super comfortable. We could walk right out directly to the ocean and beach. The hosts were wonderful, they had music playing when we arrived and a bottle of wine waiting on the counter. Overall a fantastic get away.

Slice of Cali paradise

Beautiful house right on the most gorgeous beach, newly renovated with exquisite taste. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, great communication. This area of the CA coast is exceptional- close to Monterey, Santa Cruz, but also very down to earth as the agricultural breadbasket of the nation. We loved it and will return.

Phenomenal property

This was our second time staying at Ted and Rose's amazing ocean-front property. It's a little piece of paradise and our extended family that we brought along felt the same way. Seeing the ocean from almost every room is blissful and the house is really well laid out and stocked. One of the best VRBO properties we've ever stayed at. And, Ted and Rose are fantastic, thoughtful and responsive hosts. 5-stars all around!

An ideal getaway for the family reunion

This is a beautiful home, right on the dunes, with great views of the ocean (we saw a whale today!). The home offers excellent privacy, is quiet and peaceful and was perfect for our family gathering, including our elderly mother using a walker. The kitchen is modern and well stocked, as are the three bathrooms. The furnishings are very accommodating, and the home offered everything we needed for a beachfront stay. We can't wait to stay here again!

What a Gem!

We couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Three generations of our family staid for five days very comfortably. The view and beach access is amazing. We took full advantage of the private courtyard. All of the rooms are good sized and well appointed. The kitchen has everything, including a fully-stocked spice pantry. We hope to make this an annual event and are very grateful to Ted and Rose for opening their home to us.

What an amazing lovely beach house! It was the ultimate perfect place to celebrate our friendship with 3 other couples. The beach was a great for morning walks. The place was very clear and the check-in process was a breeze. Ted and Rose's hospitality was over the top. They had stocked up the fridge and pantry with goodies for us to enjoy. We really hope to come back to this place again.

Great beach house, amazing views!!!!

My family and I visited for three days to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. Ted and Rose were gracious and welcoming during the reservation process and that continued through to the end of our stay. The house is well stocked with everything that you would possibly need for a stay at the beach and the natural setting and location is incredible. We wish we had planned to spend more time on site as it is truly stunning. We are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this little slice of paradise!

Wonderful multigenerational family getaway

This property is even better than all the five star reviews say. The location is unbeatable, just steps from a sandy beach with panoramic views of the Monterey Bay. And Ted and Rose really have thought of everything. Our whole family, including young kids (3 and 7) and elderly grandparents were all equally at home and content, in the house and at the pool, hot tub, and clubhouse. We also enjoyed easy day trips to the aquarium, whale watching, and Carmel. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Wonderful week in Monterey!

We had such a great family ( ages 2-78) vacation at this property. The property was perfect and the owners were very hospitable. Easy and private walkways to beach and the view was perfect for watching sunsets. It was very quiet and relaxing. The home had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. I have stayed at other properties before where you needed to bring everything, not this one! We so appreciated all the little things the home owners did that made it a luxury vacay for us. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with sweeping ocean views, thoughtful amenities, and a peaceful, relaxing vibe.The home is incredibly spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a serene beach theme that instantly puts you at ease. The second-floor patio overlooking the ocean is a dream—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or sunset glass of wine. And speaking of wine, Ted and Rose went above and beyond with their thoughtful welcome gift: a bottle of wine and chocolates that made us feel truly cared for. You’re literally less than a minute’s walk from the beach. Each morning, we strolled the shore collecting intact sand dollars and watching sea lions play in the surf. The wildlife in the area is incredible—sea birds and seals. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed—plenty of dishes, coffee, condiments, and more. There’s also a cozy fireplace, and on the partially sunny days during our stay, we enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the waves roll in. At night, we slept with the windows open, lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. Our family is already making plans to return. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape, a peaceful retreat, or a family getaway, this place is an absolute gem. Accommodating home in pristine setting

Upon our arrival at your townhome, we felt the presence of nature surrounding you, from the lush plant life to the sound of the Pacific seemingly at your doorstep. The passageway to the ocean became a favorite for all, particularly the toddlers who laughed with glee as they frequently escaped the confines of parents and house to head towards the beach. Watching them stop to explore the various plant life unique to this area of the country was a pleasure for all. The house came well stocked with kitchen needs from olive oils, spices to aluminum foil to minimize the need for frequent visits to the grocery. Bedrooms were spacious and allowed for us to house the 9 family members with comfort. It was a fabulous oasis for us to get reacquainted with family after 4 years of separation and would highly recommend this beautiful vacation spot. We welcome opportunity to visit again soon.

Best vacation home ever!

This is the best vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. It’s not just that everything was perfect there. The level of service truly went above and beyond . Owners were always available when we had questions. I’m truly tired of the vacation properties where they give you 15 chores to complete at checkout. Not here! Put your key in the box and leave. After we left the owners contacted us and shipped jackets we left free of charge. The house was perfect and the location was perfect. When I was done I asked if they would be interested in renting the unit for a month next summer.. it’s not really possible because it’s too nice and the hosts are too great to lock this place down for that amount of time. If you can book it you better do it quick. I’m certain we will be back.

We love the ocean and love Monterey Dunes. The dunes offer a unique setting. The dunes are a ecosystem unto itself. Very rare to have the dunes to be viewed from the home as well the ocean.

we live in a gated community. We have a community pool (when in season) jacuzzi, Tennis , Golf nets, volley ball, pickle ball, basketball, bocce ball and shuffle board at the clubhouse a short walk away for the unit.
