Dieses neu renovierte Cottage in den malerischen Appalachen von North Carolina verfügt über ein Wohnzimmer mit einem originalen Steinkamin (Gasblöcke), Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage sowie eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Sie genießen Morgenkaffee auf der abgeschirmten Veranda, Cocktails auf der Steinplatte und machen S'mores in der Feuerstelle im Hinterhof. Zum schnellen Grillen steht ein Gasgrill zur Verfügung. Das Cottage verfügt über eine schöne Landschaft und ausreichend Platz zum Parken. Es gibt WLAN sowie Smart-TVs und einen DVD-Player.
Die Master Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, einen großen Stauraum, einen Whirlpool und eine separate Dusche.
Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein französisches Bett und das dritte Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett in der Ausziehcouch. Das zweite Badezimmer verfügt über eine große Waschmaschine und einen Trockner.
Die Küche bietet alles, was Sie für die Zubereitung von Familienessen benötigen. Es verfügt über Elektrogeräte, einen Doppelofen, einen Geschirrspüler, eine Mikrowelle, Keurig und Filterkaffeemaschinen.
Das Ferienhaus liegt gegenüber dem malerischen Mirror Lake. Die Einheimischen füttern hier gerne die Enten und angeln. Angelausrüstung steht den Gästen zur Verfügung. Die Gegend ist auch bekannt für ihre vielen Wanderwege, Wasserfälle, malerischen Fahrten und den Edelsteinabbau.

Lovely Cabin

Very very clean and super close to town. Great location. The cabin was just perfect with all the amenities! My family and I had a wonderful time and we hope to visit again. Highly recommend.

Quaint cottage!

This cottage is in a perfect location. Close to town, hiking trails, and the grocery store. We came up to visit family who own a cabin in the Highlands. It was less than a mile from them. The cottage has everything you need and is super clean and cozy. We had a family of deer coming through the yard every morning. So sweet. The property owners called us and welcomed us on the phone when we arrived. Everything was very clear of what to do for opening and closing the home. I highly recommend this property !

All good, except property mgr didn’t know we were coming and one bed not made and some things didn’t get stocked. Also no basic tv connection so that had to be accessed thru YouTube for Saturday football games.

Fantastic stay at Maple Cottage!

We had a fantastic stay at Maple Cottage! The house was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. It was a very short drive (6 minutes) to Main Street in Highlands and also to the grocery store. The house had everything we needed to make meals at home while the quick access to town made it fun to pop in for a meal, ice cream at Kilwyns, or to stroll around the weekend farmers market at Hutchinson Park. The owner (Sheri) was an excellent communicator letting us know via text message that she was available to answer any of our questions if needed.

Our favorite mountain cottage

This was our third time staying at Maple Cottage. Third time's a charm, as they say, but then so were the first two! Great location -- near waterfalls and gorgeous valleys but close enough to make easy trips into town to enjoy everything there. Host is always very responsive and helpful. My husband and I love staying at this quiet little hideaway and may return yet again.

Delightful get-away

The cottage was first-rate: super-clean, well-supplied, and charmingly decorated. Location is ideal, with the town center a couple of miles away in one direction, waterfalls and wonderful forest glades less than a mile in the other direction. This was our second stay in Maple Cottage -- perhaps even more enjoyable than the first time. The owner is attentive (without being intrusive) and eager to do everything possible to ensure the guests' comfort. My husband and I may return for a third time in the future -- and highly recommend it to others.

“Girls” Get-Away

The house was great for our escape from the Birmingham heat. I’ve rented in Highlands for over 10 years and this was the cleanest house I’ve ever rented! Everything was in working order and all switches, etc. were well marked so we knew how to operate everything. There were plenty of towels and other supplies. Early mornings on the screened porch let us enjoy the bird serenades and the deep croak of the bull frog in the lake across the street while watching bunnies and squirrels play and the hummingbirds drink from the bee balm and other flowers in the gardens. Mirror Lake is a good neighborhood for walks and is close enough to town to allow for shopping excursions and lunching. If there were a 3rd “real bed” instead of a sofa bed the house would have been perfect. We plan to rent the house again.

Cozy Cottage

Blue Maple Cottage was a delightful place to stay while visiting Highlands with our family. The rooms were charmingly decorated and comfy to sleep in. Our children preferred sleeping on the 2 provided blow up mattresses instead of the sofa couch in the entrance room. They enjoyed that room for relaxing in during the day. Plenty of extra blankets for them. It was helpful to have all the switches marked clearly. We didn't use the grill or fishing gear, but it looked like nice options. The flowers were gorgeous, and the twinkle lights on the porch made a nice welcome. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed lots of waterfalls, Whiteside Mountain, making pottery at the Bascom, walking Highlands, and a special dinner at On The Veranda. We were thankful for this cozy home away from home!

Place is super close to all things in Highlands. Ample parking and the house is lovely. Lots of space for all to stretch out. It worked so well for my family, kids included. Well equipped place with everything you could need for a great stay!

Making Memories

This trip was for my wife's birthday on May 26th. It was a perfect setting to make memories with our family, which was a wish of hers. I choose this cottage after my DIL found it because of the location but also the sign in the cottage which stated the rules. The last rule was to "Make Memories", so it was a perfect choice. We enjoyed Highlands more than we imagined, so we will be back.

Best Family Vacation

First let me say how amazing this cottage is and how accommodating the owner was. We have been coming to Highlands for 30 years and were fortunate to have found this cottage. Great time

Very easy rental process. When we arrived the lights were on and music was playing on the radio. A nice touch. Everything was clean and all necessities were there. We cooked parts of our Thanksgiving lunch and then met up with daughter and her family for the other goodies. A hand mixer might have been helpful for the mashed potatoes, but everything else was there. We really enjoyed our stay.

Comfy cottage

We heard Highlands was a beautiful mountain town and I found this lovely cottage. It has two spacious bedrooms with their own bathrooms. There is plenty of seating and a great screened in porch. We enjoyed the fire pit and took lots of walks in the neighborhood. The town is just 5 minutes away and has lots of beautiful shops. We recommend Highlands Smokehouse.
