Location was perfect for enjoying the lake! Boat was a wonderful perk and made enjoying all the lake had to offer so fun. We loved the outdoor kitchen and had a fun pizza night with the pizza oven!

Our new annual anniversary getaway house

This house had the best water views, from the lower dock, upper deck above the water, patio and upper deck. And all 3 tvs outside were perfect for viewing the NFL draft. We grilled chicken and cooked pizza outside. The inside was very comfortable. Many fancy upgrades. Nice neighbors. so pleasant. now on our annual rotation.

Great getaway

Perfect house for family of 7 and our dog :) We enjoyed the house and the lake but most of all we loved the access to the boat. Outdoor deck was nice, we look forward to coming back in the fall to enjoy more fishing and evenings by the fire.

Wonderful property, wonderful host

Property is just as nice as pictured and the outside amenities are outstanding. Beautiful lake view and easy access. Also very convenient to nearby hiking. Extra shout out to our understanding host who helped us with a hiccup created by us. This is a property not to be missed.

Family Getaway

We had a great time at the lake with all our family and girlfriends and all. Being on the water was so peaceful and having the boat was a definite added plus. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and made wood fired pizzas for the first time. Trip to Albemarle was easy for any supplies we needed. Would stay here again.

Cousin reunion

Perfect destination for our family gathering. Several teenage cousins and they absolutely loved hanging out on the dock and floating mat while listening to tunes blasting thru the provided Bluetooth speakers, watching the TV, or making s’mores on the top deck. My family and I have visited this property for the second time. The home has everything anyone would need, with great amenities such as the splash pad, the boat, and the outdoor entertaining area. Beautiful lake escape

We needed a meeting spot for family Thanksgiving and this home was perfect. Even though it was chilly outside, we cuddled on the top deck porch by the firepit to enjoy the gorgeous lake. It was easy to pop into the Harris Teeter in Albemarle to get everything we needed for the feast and all four of us (2 adult children) were very comfortable.

Lakeside Landing

We met with family for a long Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time at the house. It's exactly as described by the owner and it's exactly like the pictures. The communication and check-in process were every easy, the instructions for all the amenities were clearly written and understandable, the beds were all very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need, including some spices in case you forgot yours. The weather was a bit cold to spend much time using the outdoor amenities (there are many), but we did do a little fishing off the dock. There are lots of stores and restaurants only about 10-15 minutes away. We had dinner at Five Points Public House in downtown Albemarle and it was great. Highly recommend. Do yourself a favor if you're looking for a lake house to rent. Not only is a wonderful setup with everything you could want, but from May to November the rental fee includes use of a very nice pontoon boat.

An Incredible Stay!

All I can say is that our stay and Sebastian (Our Host) exceeded our expectations in every way! The property was easy to find with plenty of room to get our two vehicles in and out of. The property looked up to date on the latest trends and fashions in décor and amenities and the location on the lake was in the best possible place for a view as well as boating and swimming. Inside there was plenty of space along with creature comforts to make our stay enjoyable and low on stress. Our family was also appreciative of Sebastian's willingness to rent out his boat for family use. I am a Stanly County native and my only regret about this property is that I have not come here sooner but I can assure you that we will be back for more visits. !FIVESTARS!

Exactly what we needed

2020 has been such a stressful year. We always travel with our good friends the week of my husband’s birthday, but this year we struggled with where to go that we would feel safe and comfortable. The Lake House was perfect for us. The owner was great, answered all our questions quickly. The house was so comfortable. So many seating areas. So many thoughtful touches. We rented the pontoon boat for a day and had so much fun exploring the lake. My husband took his fishing boat to and it was so convenient for his to just jump in and go out fishing whenever he wanted. We all left feeling well rested and happy. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Great property - Great host!

The property is a great place to hang out, relax, and as we did, move our "home offices" and "school work" to have a change of scenery during our COVID stay at home orders. If you are looking for a relaxing time on the water in a comfortable setting this is it. There is plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for the family to be together or have a place to work. The decks and porches are very comfortable and offer amazing views of the lake. Additionally, the property offers a lot of toys for the family to play on the water as well as indoors. The house comes with a great selection of board games to keep everyone entertained even when the weather is less than perfect. Sebastian is an amazing host and was very responsive to all our communications. Whether it was before our stay or during our stay Sebastian responded almost immediately to all our texts or emails and addressed our questions/concerns with a great deal of personal touch and humor.

Everything You Need

This house was perfect. It had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay on the lake with friends. The house was cozy and nicely updated. Tons of entertaining space and lots of room to fit two families of 4. I can't think of any negative things to say about the house, in fact, we were going to probably make this a yearly vacation with our close friends and kids each Summer. The house didn't have fishing poles, but we went right down to the store and purchased two rods and left them there for future guests to enjoy. The kids caught tons of fish right from the dock and were able to always keep themselves busy if we were not on the boat having fun. The house is in a great location and easy in and out for the boat as well. Nothing else to say about that house other than if you are interested or on the fence, book it. You are going to have a great time!

SIMPLY AWESOME!

We are so thrilled with this past week that we had at this amazing property! I’m not sure where to begin!The house is awesome- very clean, nicely furnished, comfortable beds and bedding, well stocked kitchen, great appliances and lots of tv’s! We brought our own games, but there are many options in the laundry area too! The outdoor entertaining is off the chain! The outdoor kitchen is amazing and there is a lot of seating! The firepit on the main patio was where a lot of our memories were made! My kids (young adults) loved the dock as well as the crows nest area with amazing views. Did I mention that EVERY toilet has a heated toilet seat!? My goodness now I don’t know how I will live without this in my life! The newly renovated bathrooms were gorgeous and the showers were amazing!The pontoon was immaculate and ran like a champ. This lake is so beautiful and we enjoyed our trips admiring the homes and scenery! The stereo system on the boat was great too…The best part- the host, SEBASTIAN! I’ve rented many VRBO’s and he is by far the most attentive and interactive host we have ever had. He responded immediately each time we called or had a question. SUPER nice man who clearly loves this home and wants a great experience for all his guests. THANK YOU!This is a wonderful home for ALL ages and it’s in a great location. A little piece of Heaven

Let me first say that Sebastian was such a great host! This property is amazing!!! From the first initial message to him up until check out anything we needed or any questions we had he was very responsive and attentive….. now the property hands down the best vacation we’ve had in years!! Our children are in college and it was us and boy did we have fun! We rented his pontoon and enjoyed it for the week also! The pictures don’t do it any justice. The outside space is phenomenal! We literally enjoyed the dock and toys all day!! The pizza oven and hibachi grill are a great bonus!! There is so much room to entertain! We had friends camping in Norwood who came to hang out a day with us and we had plenty of room!! Let me say this because I read it on a review… the day we got there the mayflies started to hatch. So for two days they were out there . While there are lots of them it was a no bother! That’s all nature and honestly they didn’t bother us other than the fact they were everywhere. That only happens like 2 or 3 times a year and it happen to be while we was there but it didn’t change or damper our experience at all! We will definitely be returning again! Really great vacation home! The accommodations were wonderful and the host was extremely thoughtful and kind. I appreciated the high end finishes including the kitchen and shower. The deck is amazing, especially with the long range view of the lake at sunset. The house feels secluded and private when in the back and I felt safe in the neighborhood to walk my dog at nighttime. It was also really convenient to the main road with all the restaurants, Morrow Mountain, and the winery within 10 to 15 minutes drive. 10/10, would definitely stay here again.

Our peaceful week with my Fiancé & her family at this lake side home was even better than anticipated. Host Sebastian was like a brother, promptly & patiently responding and answering my several questions that routinely arose throughout the week. Welcome gifts like the fine bottle of wine was a thoughtful surprise. The automatic hands free natural gas generator was a hit as the lake area lost power one day for 5 hours but it did not disturb our vacation in the least as the power generator instantly turned on, powering the ENTIRE property! The pontoon boat is like new, very well maintained and easy to maneuver and enjoy- an adventurous addition for our group indeed to discover the beautiful 16 mile Lake Tillery scenery each day including a 5000 acre state park & even dined out by boat ride at a nearby lake restaurant. MANY relaxing areas throughout this newly renovated home to sit and spend time with family, meditate, play uno or Jenga together or just catch up on life with loved ones & friends; by the beautifully landscaped stone fire pit terrace, outdoor dock, upper level gas flamed fire pit, gazebo, all with generous seating available & ALL with tv’s! The beds were comfy with the Softest sheets and ceramic stone showers were spotless and beautifully hand crafted. We cooked two tasty homemade pizzas in the outdoor fire flamed pizza oven and grilled out on the easy to use clean Coyote gas grill. Thank you host Sebastian for the relaxing getaway, we will be back soon!

Wow! Great vacay place. The outdoors areas were the best. Outdoor cooking overlooking the lake, late night fires and gorgeous boat rides on the beautiful lake. The outside was so great all while the house was just as great. Cannot wait to go back next year!

I am from New York. I bought this lake house after falling in love with Lake Tillery while visiting a longtime friend over the past few years. I am an airline pilot and travel extensively so I am not easily impressed but I was sold on this property as soon as I saw the beautiful lake views and the amazing dock spaces.

This property has an expansive main channel Waterview and an oversized two-story dock with two boat lifts. The location of the house puts it as close to downtown Albermarle, with all of its shops and stores, as you can possibly get and still be lakefront. Very convenient 7 min drive.
