Mixed review due to no-see-ums

We were so happy to see Ocean’s Reach back. It looks beautiful. The remodel in the unit we stayed is gorgeous. We do, however, have a major complaint. The very first night we were there we were eaten alive by no-see-ums on our lanai. At first we did not know what they were and called the office. We were told about the no-see-ums and advised to run the fan. We understand now they are a result of Hurricane Ian. We both ended up with hundreds of bites on our legs and arms and itched for two weeks. We probably spent $100 on sprays and ointments we got at the pharmacy on Sanibel. As soon as the pharmacist saw our legs she knew what happened to us. I think Ocean’s Reach should warn its guests and recommend that they spray with a repellant. All of our misery could have been avoided with a simple warning. We love coming to Ocean’s Reach, but were disappointed with this last visit.
