Camden wurde kĂŒrzlich zu einer der 20 schönsten StĂ€dte Amerikas gewĂ€hlt!

Unser Dorfhaus ist nur einen Steinwurf von Penobscot Bay entfernt. Es ist perfekt fĂŒr zwei Paare. Sie können morgens Ihren Kaffee einschenken und die Großsegler vorbeiziehen sehen und Szenen des aktiven Hafenlebens genießen. Gehen Sie dann an unserer Bibliothek aus den 1920er Jahren vorbei und spazieren Sie die Main Street entlang, um kleine GeschĂ€fte und CafĂ©s zu besuchen, die Teil des StadtgefĂŒges sind.

Willkommen in unserem Haus mit einer voll ausgestatteten GourmetkĂŒche, einem Wohnzimmer und einem schönen Wohnzimmer. Es gibt einen Master mit Ling-Bett und eigenem Bad, ein GĂ€stezimmer mit Queen-Size-Bett und ein angrenzendes Badezimmer, beide im zweiten Stock. Die dritte Etage ist eine Suite mit einem Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett, Bad und einem schönen Wohnzimmer mit Erkerfenster mit Blick auf den Berg. Beatty. Der gesamte Raum bietet PrivatsphĂ€re, aber schöne GemeinschaftsrĂ€ume fĂŒr bis zu 6 Personen.

Das Dorfleben von Camden ist nur wenige Augenblicke von unserer Veranda entfernt. Der Charme des Hauses ist seine NĂ€he zu allem und doch hat es einen ruhigen Charme und PrivatsphĂ€re, die nicht leicht zu finden sind. Wir entschieden uns fĂŒr Camden als unser Zuhause, als wir vier funktionierende BuchlĂ€den, wunderschöne AntiquitĂ€tenlĂ€den und einheimische Restaurants in Familienbesitz fanden. Wir wollten in der Lage sein, zum LebensmittelgeschĂ€ft zu gehen und tagelang zu leben, ohne ins Auto zu steigen. Jede Jahreszeit ist magisch: Die langen Sommerabende sind herrlich, unvergleichliche Herbstfarben, Schneefall fĂŒr die Feiertage und die Blumen des FrĂŒhlings. Unser Zuhause in Camden ist seit vielen Jahren ein RĂŒckzugsort fĂŒr unsere Familie und wir wĂŒrden es gerne mit Ihnen teilen. In der Hochsaison vermieten wir Ihnen gerne von Samstag zu Samstag.

The stay was great and the house was comfortable. It was decorated nice and had a lot of artwork that the owner painted. Loves looking at all pictures. They had a full kitchen and plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was very convenient to walk to Camden. The Miller's were very nice and helpful when we asked for restaurants . This is a charming and very comfortable home in a great location, just a few minutes walk to downtown Camden and everything the delightful town has to offer.The home is filled with books, art and antiques which our group of four 70-somethings greatly enjoyed. The owners are a thoughtful and charming couple and were highly responsive to our wishes.We felt like adopted Camdenites! Don't miss this one.

Fabulous vacation spot! Quick walk to town.

Wow! Such a fun, cute, clean and pretty house! Everything was as described. 3 stories. Great kitchen! Parking on street in front. Cute front porch and patio. Most important to us, we loved our ~2 block walk to town, shops, restaurants and the harbor. It’s ALL right there! We could have simply stayed in Camden and it would have been a wonderful trip meeting all our expectations. But we chose to explore a little more of Maine and it was an easy car trip to Acadia. My grown son loved his 3rd story bedroom. We all appreciated the clean updated bathrooms. It was a truly comfortable stay that felt a lot like visiting friends. It was great to meet Mary, too.

Perfect Camden Village home

I loved my stay on Mountain Street. The house is full of antiques, books and art. So much to look at! It was so very welcoming and had everything I need to make my stay comfortable. The location in town is so perfect with plenty of parking. And although you are in the heart of the village the gardens give you a sense of peace Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and I enjoyed my evening lass of wine on the patio. The owners are lovely. I will definitely come back.

Great location

Camden is a favorite destination for us - and as we had rented this property years ago - knew the proximity to town was terrific. We enjoyed being close to the harbor - however the property needs maintenance and to be professionally cleaned on a much more regular basis to provide the best vacation experience.

Beautiful house and amazing location!

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house was comfortable and you could feel the history. The location was amazing. Easy walk into town that help avoid any traffic or parking issues. Mary and Dave were awesome. Dave stopped by to quickly resolve a quick issue and enjoyed talking to him about the history of the house and the amazing things to do around Maine. A couple things I always like to know. 1. The beds are comfortable but on the firmer side 2. The bedrooms do get lots of light in the morning especially the room on the 3rd floor. We did not mind but I know people who like it dark! Highly recommend this place. The house is great, location it perfect (central too so many things and not as busy as a town as others. Not as touristy feeling either which we really liked), great restaurants and the hosts were so helpful!

We are so appreciative that Mary & Dave allowed us to stay in their lovely home. It is filled with art objects from their overseas travels. The location was beyond; it’s just minutes to all the restaurants, shops, the harbor, etc. Mary & Dave went above and beyond in every way. This was my first time in Camden and one of the most relaxing vacations ever. While we loved their home, if you are a minimalist please note that there are a lot of objects, furnishings, and art and you might not love that, but if Maximalism doesn’t bother you, this is an absolute gem and the perfect place to stay in Camden.

Like staying at your favorite aunt’s house in the most perfect Maine village

Our two week stay was a delight. The house is perfectly located - many days we did not use the car. Walked to shops and restaurants and the harbor every day. The house is as pictured - filled with books and art from floor to ceiling. We especially enjoyed the roomy kitchen with its nice appliances. The fireplace made things especially cozy on cold days, but it was not in the sitting room so we couldn’t fully enjoy. Dave and Mary are lovely people and full of great suggestions. The only “unexpected” was the fact that the owners stayed in the basement apartment during our stay. It made me very self-conscious of our conversations/TV/footsteps (sound really carried in this home). I do think that renters should simply be aware of this fact when booking and I don’t recall reading this in the listing. We look forward to returning to the most charming village on the Maine coast!

Walk to town!

My friend and I loved the location of the charming Victorian home in Camden. Our hosts were helpful and attentive. Be aware if you will be using both bedrooms as we did, both are located upstairs, and one requires two sets of stairs. It was not a problem for us, but might be for some. Overall, a lovely, art-filled home in beautiful Camden, Maine.

Historic home in a great location. Easy walk to harbor and shops. Our only complaint would be noisy a/c and a bit musty smelling from large collections of books. Other than that overall lovely property.

Our home is filled with Dave's watercolors and oils, antiques we have collected in Europe and Asia. Though it is only 2300 sq feet, there are private places to get comfortable for a read or a chat. Here is a recent review from our guests:

Immerse yourself in art and literature while enjoying the best Maine has to offer. Day trips to Rockport, Belfast, Bar Harbor for shopping, antiquing, and ,of course, lobster! Enjoy the forest and the ocean at Acadia National Park where you can hike or just soak in the sun and waves. Don't forget the pop-overs at Jordon Pond Lodge. Be sure to stop and see the views from the Penobscot Bridge tower. Weather keeping you inside...no worries. This wonderful house is full of artwork (most by the owner!) to ponder and books in every nook and corner. Every need is covered and the rooms are spectacular. We stayed in the "attic" room with stained glass windows above the bed and the whole bathroom is a shower! We ate in Bar Harbor, Lincolnville, and Camden and every meal was excellent with great service. The home is a very short walk from downtown Camden so you are just minutes from shopping and dining. We also got to enjoy a cruise on the schooner "Appledore"...a great adventure. Mary and Dave are great hosts and answered all our questions right away. We highly recommend this home for your get away, especially for adults or families with older kids.

We are within walking distance of all that Camden offers. The house is our sanctuary with three distinct living areas on three floors.

The public space on the first floor provides a large, gourmet kitchen with room for our family and friends to gather, visit, and cook. My husband has hand-painted a mural in the dining room that creates a sense of peace and calm. The transition from our cozy living room features an archway framed with 18th Chinese panels reminds us of wonderful travel in Taiwan and China.

The living room is intimate and highlighted by stained glass windows and a cozy gas fireplace surrounded by bookcases.

The second floor features a large bedroom with an adjacent shower bathroom.

The third floor is an open suite with a sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom. The best views are from this sitting room! This is completely private, set off from the rest of the house.

Our home is perfect for one or two couples, who love to travel together. There is plenty of room to cook, relax, read, and visit and...retreat.
