Discover the "Brunelleschi" apartment by WP Relais, situated in the heart of Florence just off the prestigious Via Tornabuoni. Located a short distance from the River Arno, this exclusive residence is located inside the historical Palazzo Berardi, dating back to the 1600s. The neighbourhood is surrounded by traditional Tuscan restaurants, high-fashion boutiques such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren and WP Store, as well as grocery and convenience stores.
The apartment, which can accommodate up to six people, occupies the second and top floors of the building and is accessible by lift. The lower floor of the apartment offers a spacious 60 square metre living area with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower, while the upper floor overlooks the living room and features a period wooden floor, a ceiling with wooden beams, and period paintings. The three peaceful bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, are located on the upper floor. The rooms are configured as one twin and two doubles.

Excellent property and location. As described in reviews, there are a lot of steps but completely manageable. Responsive host. Only negative was that lights in the common stairwell were inoperable at night.

A cool experience

This is the first place that we stayed in Italy. My expectations may not be in touch with reality. With that being said, the apartment itself is magical in its own way, uncertainly authentic to Florence. The antiquity surrounds you giving you that European experience that many travelers are seeking. In my case I’m traveling with my family who are not quite as adventurous as Only drawbacks might be with the size of bathrooms, lighting issues, or overall cleanliness. In all fairness, I will say that the place is extremely clean and well kept, and that this is Italy and that anyone should lower their expectations when comparing it to something Modern In this case this numerous stairs could be a concern for some families. I thought all of these features are part of the experience and makes it cool and unique to Florence but my wife feels otherwise. Apartment was overall accommodating and perfect for our family and while I have no actual hotels that I can compare it to, I thought this apartment was unique and historic and special.

Fantastic flat in the heart of Florence

My family and I enjoyed our stay at your place in Florence. The location was perfect and we had plenty of space for all six of us to sleep and each shared a bathroom/shower with one person from our group. Definitely will come back and stay at your place again. Thank you.

This was an excellent stay. Highly recommend. Only suggestion is that couch bed could be better. And we desired a few more blankets in the apartment. Overall very good stay!

Florence short stay

A short stay in Florence with family and friends. 3 couples and the apartment worked really well. Location is excellent and we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Great communication with Pietro - thanks! Would happily stay again.

We loved the property location … Steps were both inside and outside the property The inside steps were to the bedrooms this was not clear on the property description Other observations —1st floor bathroom toilet keeps running — air conditioners were not very cooling — refrigerator light bulb is flashing -may need to be replaced

Iconic Florence Stay

This was my friends and I first time in Florence, we wanted a place close to the action so we could walk places. This was the perfect location for us, right near the river, near shops and restaurants, and a close walk to all of the sites. Also, big bonus in the Italian summer it had AC. We loved the aesthetic of the home, it was classic and beautiful. Plenty of space for our group which had 5 of us and a baby. There are quite a bit of stairs, so make sure you are comfortable with that. If it’s not an issue, than this is the perfect spot. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and the check in process was easy as well. We definitely would stay here again if we were in Florence! Thank you!!!

Spectacular location & wonderful apartment

There question we a would stay here again. The apartment was spacious and had such character. It was a great place to end and start our days. Gaia was easy, pleasant and accommodating to work with. Look forward to our next visit to Florence.

Great location

Great location and easy access to most of Florence. The apartment was lovely, plenty of space for us all and AC units in each bedroom. The only issue we had was accessing the apartment, we didn’t receive check in access and had to call to receive it. But otherwise all was wonderful and perfect for us.

Great Apartment in Fantastic Location in the heart of Florence

A great apartment in the heart of Florence. A quick walk to all the local attractions with great restaurants just outside your door. Check-in was easy and the apartment was well setup with all of the necessities you would need. Lots of room on 3 floors for our family four to stretch out. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay in Florence!

We stayed in the gorgeous apartment for 4 nights over Christmas time. The apartment itself is beautiful with comfortable beds and towels and the location in Florence is amazing. Would return to this place in a heart beat. Communication with Gaia was very easy and she was super helpful. Thank you!

Not for older people!

The apartment was spare but fine - nothing fancy but comfortable. However, what isn't mentioned is that there are very very steep and narrow stairs throughout that are dangerous for little kids or older people. And while there is an elevator, it stops 8 steep steps before the apartment door.

Superb apartment, Tuscan spirit and refinement

The house is a mix of modernity, as very comfortable and very well equipped, and ancient materials. Everything is beautiful and made to feel that you are good, while respecting the Tuscan spirit. We want to thank Gaia for being so accommodating on such short notice. we are sure to return!

Beautiful apartment and very gracious host.

The apartment is beautiful, spacious and in a great location. It's walking distance to everything but not too close to the noisy, crowded areas by the Duomo. Our host was very helpful and accommodating and informative. I would 100 percent recommend this apartment. We had a wonderful experience and anytime we had questions we were able to stop in next door where the host worked and ask questions, which he graciously answered. Loved this place!!!

Great location

This location couldn't have been any better. It is close to everything. We had a good stay and lots of great memories. Finding the location wasn't easy apple maps had us a block away, the instructions via email didn't help much and communication with the host was hit and miss. It says it sleep 7 and that is really pushing it. The listing say 3 rooms in one spot and 4 rooms in another spot. It’s 2 rooms an a loft and there is a cot for a 7th person you can pull into a room or the loft. The apartment is much darker than the pictures lead you to believe. We had lots of stairs everywhere we stayed in Italy but this place had by far the most. If you don't have someone with some muscle this isn't the place for you if you have suitcases.

Awesome place, very comfortable, great location!!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is well positioned to enjoy all aspects of Florence (Firenze). The greeting host was kind. We, a family of 5 traveling for 5 days together, had plenty of places to find our own peace. Great place! One note: we did not realize there was a “tourism tax” that would be collected in cash when we arrived. Apparently this is normal, but we were not aware. It adds a significant amount to the total. This is apparently true with any location in Florence, but should be noted if you’re like me and keep a tight budget.

Perfect Location and Apartment

The apartment was beautiful. It was located very close to all the popular tourist sites and was in perfect condition. Without the cleaning crew, we would not have been able to figure out how to get into the apartment. I must say, the cleaners were super helpful and did a fantastic job in helping us feel comfortable. The apartment has a clothes washer, but no dryer. Although there is a drying rack and clothes hangers to dry clothing so having a dryer was not a problem. We were very happy with our three day stay there and would definitely return. Florence is an amazingly beautiful city. Grateful for our time there.

Loved the location of the apartment and the old world charm of the place

The apartment was perfect for our family of 4--everyone had their own space and the beds were firm & comfortable. We loved the location as it seemed to be a 10-15 minute walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Although the kitchen is tiny, we managed to cook dinner with provisions obtained from the Central Market. The air conditioning was a god-send as the temperatures were 103-105 degrees--it really kept the apartment cool and comfortable even though the apartment is on the top floor of the building. The only reason why we are giving this apartment a 4 star rating is the showers. They are tiny and it took a while for the hot water to heat up and then it ran out very quickly.

Summer in Florence

The apartment was in a great location. The entrance to the building was not so easy to find since the numbers of the building were a bit misleading ( bldg 17 was not across from 16&18). A picture of the actual door from the street view would be very helpful. Also, the bedrooms were upstairs and one had to use very narrow stairways to get up. Might be an issue for travelers with limited mobility. Other than that, it was a very nice apartment.

Good location. 3 floors walk up to apt. (tiny elevator) 3 floors inside apt. w/ very narrow stairs - 2 bedrooms w/ bathrooms on 3rd floor - loft area only on second floor - living space and kitchen on 1st floor - street is 3 floors below living space A/C did not maintain comfortable temperature (although it was very hot in Florence during our stay) Cold showers - minimal hot water. Tiny kitchen - Fridge did not cool beverages adequately
